This looks like not a bad theme. I like Affiliate Theme for WP a bit more though. I am actually looking at this one and thinking (besides the color options) this would be easy to build for free. WP theme and a few plugins…

I'd love to understand better what you mean about basic. If you mean the front end is basic, that is because I am no designer. If you mean the features are basic, I'd disagree. Import/Export of theme options, built-in SEO, SEM tools, AdSense advertising manager, and hooks system are features found in very few WordPress themes, including WooThemes and WPZoom.

Don't like this review at all! The mentioned theme is very basic, and not at all comparable to woothemes or wpzoom…

Hi Ken,

WPU is really for the new blogger or the blogger that doesn't want to have to dig around in code. Thesis is for people that only care about search engines, and those that are very wise in code. Try to customize Thesis and you'll see what I mean. There are so many custom functions files, that Thesis doesn't look like a normal wordpress theme when you need to directly edit its code.

WPU is really for someone that needs to be able to upload a header images, a background, change some colours and start blogging, or someone switching from another content management system without the understanding of how to edit WordPress themes.

They both are focused on search engine optimization, but thesis takes that many steps further. Thesis is also moving towards an online magazine audience, where WPUnlimited is more for businesses, new bloggers, and new WordPress users.

Hi, I checked out WPU's site and read a post about comparison to Thesis. I'm not familiar with Thesis. But there was a comment that I'd like to ask you about. I'll quote: "A feature to feature comparison between Thesis and WPUnlimited would show that they are really meant for slightly different markets... "

Can you tell me what the different markets are?

I understand from reading about WPU that online marketers can benefit from using WPU because it's customizeable and can be seo'd. Also, now that I'm thinking about it, do you think there's much difference between WPU's built-in seo feature and just using the seo plugin for WP?

I'll be building some blogs for myself and a business-owner I'm helping out. I've never heard of WPU, or Thesis, so I'm interested to know more about them.

No offense, but i think Jason this blog is kinda dying!

You might need to get some fresh serious content, in order to pull up the traffic and sales.

Posts like these only work if JohnChow does them, since you are in growing as a blog, it would only be right to have the juiciest content at this point of time, just my 2 cents.
