Hi, remember us? Just squeezing our furry cow butts in between the guest post stampede!
Being new to the whole blogging scene ourselves we were amazed how easy it is to become a self proclaimed blogging expert. If you know how to tell an interesting story, people will most likely buy whatever it is you’re saying. It doesn’t have to be new and refreshing. Entertaining is good enough. It’s amazing if you look how many new blogs pop up all around us each day with the same posts over and over again.
Just because blogger A tells the same story funnier than blogger B doesn’t make A right or B wrong.
Being in a blogging niche like making money online means one thing; It will get harder and harder to bring relevant and new information to your readers every single day. Most -if not all- topics have been written, read, and digested thousands of times already. It’s how you gift wrap it.
1) Distinguish yourself by branding. -This isn’t just what theme you slap onto your blog. It’s about how you let your personality shine through in your writing. People will quickly recognize a particular blogger’s writing style and learn to love it. Be patient with them though. Appreciation is not something that grows overnight.
2) Select an underlying theme to your niche. -If you really want to blog about making all that money online every day, be sure you add an angle to the mix. You could for example pretend to be a cow and throw in some bovine puns every now and then. It’ll not only give you more options to play with, it’s again another part of branding your blog.
3) Do your homework. -Or look back on your own experience before you blatantly start repeating the same stuff the rest of the blogosphere seems to be writing about. Just because loads of people say something doesn’t make it the absolute truth. Besides, what are the odds people will come to read your story when they can get the same crap on another 1001 blogs too?
4) Work Hard! - If people see that you’re a hard worker who updates his or her blog frequently, they will assume you do your homework and you know what you’re talking about. Just don’t put all your time in research and writing, reserve some of it for interaction with your readers. Be honest with yourself; would you be more inclined to go back to the blogger who never replies to your comments or the one that always wants to have the last word?
What it all boils down to is a bit of common sense, some social skills and a lot of patience. If you don’t have these, you’re not going anywhere. We of course don’t practice what we preach. We just needed something to write about. Cows are the next step in the blogolution, we’re already at the top of the blogging foodchain! (and whoever dares to make hamburger puns in the comments will be severely frowned upon!)

Good post you filthy cows! LOL.. so is that contest over already?
yep branding is key. no wonder you guys reveal secrets without worries of losing to competitors.
Oh, the cow is still here.
Good points there, especially the branding. Hope that’s the end of guest blogging? I cannot wait for the voting!
Nice post
Cool post Mr Moo.
All I seem to being at the moment is either reading stuff or writing it and have not been doing a few other things, I need some more hours in the day.
It is good to be reminded about the other stuff.
I agree with you. I need about 10 more hours in a day to get everything I need to get done each day. For the last week I’ve been setting up a schedule and trying to follow it so I don’t get off track.
If I find one good website with some cool stuff on it I’ll be lost for hours.
Sucks how we’re all so short on time.
Is Bob a real person named Bob?
Perhaps Mr. Cow would answer this for us all one day. I am curious what his last name is…
smith. errr..jones.
LOL nice try. Perhaps its really Chow, Bob Chow; related to John Chow somehow haha, j/k
Cowgratulation’s on having 299 rss reader’s

What’s wrong with you? This post wasn’t a guest post.
LMAO
But I like hamburgers…
I am the expert.
Who made these cheeseburgers?
Was it you?
DELICIOUS!
Double Cheeseburgers!
Why don’t you put an Avatar?
LOL I am way too lazy to register and put one up.
Branding, hmmm…. I know I’m definately one of those that likes to have the last word…I get a little disappointed when I ask a commenter a question in my reply and they don’t respond though…:/.
There is one more thing. Use ideas tested by others.
As a team, we are new to blogging, so it is certainly interesting to read people’s opinions on the topic and what works best for them.
Our blog, http://www.FinerSeattleHomes.net was set up to appeal to the needs or supply data to the affluent real estate buyer or seller. I’d be curious to hear from any of you some comments as to what would be interesting to read or what you’d like to see featured. I’ve attempted to have homes, things about our company, what we as a team do, that sort of thing. What would be intersting to read? (Yawn) Statistics and financial stuff can be such a boring read….
Greetings from the FinerSeattleHomes.net team! Rita
Hey, I was in the market to look up some Seattle real estate =]
Yes, i like what you are mooing here. Like cow mik, it’s fresh and ready for consumption. Like you have just mentioned, most blogs are churning out the same stuff; some two-cent posts, no-brainer tips and predictable comments!
Most bloggers are too uptight and too tight in their pants. That’s why I love to give a kick in their butts. See what I’ve been kicking at:

I’ll be back for my daily milk, so I can have stronger teeth to give more bite in my blog.
