A comment whore is someone who comments "wow, nice post" or "I really like what you had to say" like you've pointed out with commenters you've had problems with. I actually participate on blogs and try to leave meaningful comments each and every time - in fact I commented on 30 blogs earlier today, and this page just happenned to be one of them. But you know what, I came across this post in the first 5 sites I visited, and I kept that tab open for a few hours until all my commenting and reading was done. Then I fully read your post last (because it interested me the most) and I thought I would be finding 6 brand new WP plugins for making money like your title said. Your linkbait didn't pay off and what looked like 6 cool plugins turned out to be nothing more than a single plugin (that did 6 things) that I already owned. People build links every day and most sites welcome participation for the exchange of the link.
