When starting a blog, it can be so frustrating trying to pin point exactly which niche to start in. Something that you would think would be easy… can be a huge burden.

The challenge lies in the intimidation of…

“Will this Niche be Profitable?”

The simple fact is that there is absolutely no way to know for certain until you just do it. There are no research tools, no software and no magic formulas that will tell you for certain if a niche will be profitable or not. These tools are nothing more then suggestions as to what looks “potentially” good but the true answer comes when you actually move forward and build and promote the blog.

One of the absolute best strategies for helping with this “challenge” is what I call the…

“3 to 1 Blog Domination”

This is not by any means a ground breaking strategy but one that so many people just do not do. What it entails is creating at least 3 blogs initially, instead of one (more if you have the time). Then you build and promote all three of these blogs for a period of time (3 to 6 months) and then select the winner. The winner is the blog that has shown to be the most profitable of the three and is the one you will now move forward with and focus all your efforts on.

The issue now remains however, what to do with the other two blog?

There are basically three options…

  • 1. Let it Die: This is a huge mistake and sadly is the usual practice of people. They have blogs that are long forgotten and they simply let them die… getting no value from them and simply accepting them as a loss.
  • 2. Sell It: This is a viable strategy and using places like sitepoint.com or digitalpoint.com, you can often sell your blog for 10 times its monthly gross revenue. The problem is, if you are only making a few bucks a month you will be lucky to get $100 bucks.
  • 3. Keep It Alive: This is in my opinion the best choice but you need to do this right. By keeping the blog you have a revenue stream (even if it is small) that can cost you nothing. There are different options for doing this, you can use one of the available WordPress plugins that use RSS feeds, but the problem with that is you do not have permission to use the content. You can also write the content yourself… but that is not something you want to do.. you want to focus that energy on your profitable blog.

This is why we have created SyndicateKahuna, to automatically find and post fresh, laser-targeted, highly-unique, good-quality content to all your blogs. This does not scrape content from article directories or tie into one of those article directory submission services that blast out the exact same content to thousands of blogs and directories.

SyndicateKahuna uses unique content that is not used else where. the system allows you to 100% control the content low and best of all is it is 100% free.

If you have blogs out there that are still useful for links or even earning a few dollars here or there… then put SyndicateKahuna to work for you!

Click here now to check it out for yourself… and Yes it is 100% FREE

Excellent idea for finding which is more profitable and enjoyable.

I did it with 2 blogs and am finding that I am losing passion in one. I don’t have the motivation to maintain it, but it also does not get enough traffic to sell it for any decent amount of money. Maybe someone can just keep it alive, like hand it over to one of the readers.

Do you just run this one blog currently? Do you have others that you keep up with too?

Personally I only run this blog as for being the author, I do however have many others that I have ghost writers writing for.

I slightly disagree. If you hate running a blog and that is why it is not profitable then sell it on or let it die. Get it out of your brain so you have time to focus on something else. If it is making you less than $100 per year and it is causing your frustration get rid of it and have a better quality of life.

If it isn’t causing you frustration definately keep it and earning a couple of dollars a month..times that over 10 blogs and you can start making a lot of money

Each to their own but I always find uses… whether it be for backlinks or something else and rarely sell a blog and certainly never just abandon it if it is generating any traffic or revenue.

Yeah man, Cow, this is the hotness right here man. I’ve been using the system on a niche blog, and this is perfect. Real content, that you don’t have to worry about…yet keeps the blog fresh and helps create passive income streams.

Folks who see the beauty will be jumping on it! Those who don’t, can’t see the benefits of it. This allows you to enter into a niche, with a blog, and have quality content. Now, even if the blog brings in only 5 bucks or less a month…you really don’t have to do much to maintain it.

That’s what passive income is about, and it’s perfect for those deploying niche blogs, who are trying to monetize with adsense, cpa, or even affiliate products.

Its not always about having the one hit wonder that makes you lots by itself… its not a bad thing to have multiple that make you a few but add up!

I have signed up for it with a blog that I haven’t had the time to fully develop. I am excited to see how it works and what I can do with it. Thanks so much for providing this service. I can’t wait to get started with it.

Another kahuna… Branding or fetish? Fetish…

Anyways, this seems like a cool thing. I won’t be using it though. I just have two blogs, one is a tech blog and the other is a personal one…

So how do you think SyndicateK works with a blog that does have good traffic and revenue. I post a few times a month on this blog. It actually does pretty well. Do you think SyndicateK would help it do better?

How I would use syndicate kahuna, is have it so you put the exact keywords you want content on and then have them “pending Review”

This way they will be posted as draft, you can then go in and review the content and pick the best ones and it can help you come up with posts. You can add content to the posts as an editorial.

Make sense?

Hi there! I totally agree with you John Cow, you should have them “pending review” so you can check it out yourself first. Great blog post by the way but I would´ve written those exact words in my post. On the other hand, this made me check the comments for some aditional words from you. Not a bad idea..

Cheers!

Can we add our own links within the KahunaS posts as long as we keep everything else the same?

It looks like our host (Yahoo) doesn’t have Zend Optimizer on the system. Somehow I doubt I’ll be able to convice them to do so.

We are moving to a new host in a few weeks, so maybe we’ll be able to use it then.
