Dean, decided to send Google a &#8220;please explain&#8221; and they got back to him with the following&#8230;</span></p>

<p><em>If you&#8217;re using a design-enhanced HTML editor like Macromedia Dreamweaver or Microsoft FrontPage (often referred to as WYSIWYG or &#8220;what you see is what you get&#8221; software), then you may notice errors if you paste the AdSense ad code into a WYSIWYG view such as the &#8220;Design&#8221; or &#8220;Layout&#8221; view. For the ads to function properly, you&#8217;ll need to copy and paste the ad code into the HTML source code of your webpage using the editor&#8217;s HTML view or HTML insert function.</em></p>
