Sunday Ramblings - A Cows Perspective

Written by John Cow on July 13th, 2008

Rambling 1 –> John Reese: There a few names in the internet marketing business that have the respect of John Reese, the guy knows the business and does it very well. A few years ago with his million dollar launch of Traffic Secrets, he set the IM world on fire and basically started the whole “product launch” system.

Last year he came out with BlogRush and as much as there are mixed reviews by some, the exposure that it got was huge and he now has the contact info of thousands of blog owners.

We have had the priviledge of Mr Reese promoting a couple of our products and the man is always incredibly powerful… his list listens to him and there is good reason for that… he knows what he is talking about!

Over the past couple years John has been creating income.com and as of more recent he has been updating Traffic Secrets 2, which is coming out soon and even though we have not seen it yet, we can guarantee you we are buying it. The man knows his stuff and he does not play around with recycling old info… he thrives on breaking new ground and his info is always worth while.

A few days ago he released the third video in the series of prelaunch videos to his Traffic Secrets 2 launch and the video is incredible and not just in the info it gives but also in the quality. All we can say is John you are truly a leader in this industry and one of the few who actually change the way the game is played.

If you have not checked out the latest video CLICK HERE NOW and see for yourself not only the quality of info but just how professional the whole presentation is.

Rambling 2 –> COWRoast: Reminder of the little contest we have going on for the new Kindle or $350 cash at http://www.johncow.com/cowroast

Rambling 3 –> iphone 3G: As you are probably most well aware of, the new Apple 3G was released this past week and we decided that we would get one. Overall we are pretty darn impressed with it and it sounds like we were one of the lucky ones that had no initial activation issues.

We have had a blackberry and as of late the Motorola Q and so far we are liking our new iPhone the best. The only thing we hate about it is the fact that we can’t stop playing with it and have spent a small fortune already on some of the paid apps.

Ramblings 4 –> Translator Freed: A little bit back we wrote a post about James Karl Buck who went to Egypt to work do work on his master’s thesis. While he was there he met up with an Egyptian veterinary student named Maree.

While Maree offered to help out James, so that James could photograph a local anti-government protest. While at the protest the two ended up being arrested and James used Twitter to let his friends and family know that he had been arrested.

Well after James was freed his translator was still being held. James spent 3 months after trying to find away to help Maree get out of jail.

Well it’s happened and his translator is now at home, enjoying his freedom.

Maree reports that he had been beaten and electrically shocked while being detained by Egyptian authorities, but is happy to be home. In fact both James and Maree have spoken since he has been released through instant messenger and according to James, Maree was in “Good spirits.”

You can read more about it at CNN.com

Ramblings 5 –> Bloggin-ads.com For Sale: Last week we recieved an email from Mike, the owner of http://bloggin-ads.com/and it was to inform us that his blog was up for sale at sitepoint at http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/auctions/39999

It’s funny you posted an article about this because I actually just finished watching all three videos a few minutes ago. I am tempted to purchase his program, but $400 is still a lot, but then again free upgrades for life. I don’t think he mentioned anything about a return policy though, I’m assuming there isn’t one?

    • Doug C. says:

I don’t doubt the excellence of the content offered in this product, but it occurred to me that “guaranteed upgrades for life” is quite an empty value if the product never upgrades. Rather than upgrading an old product, it would be more profitable to create upgrades, then rename and sell them as a completely new product.

I got the invite for the videos as well; very informative.

Re the iPhone..Argh I didn’t like, i like my htc kaiser has more power under the hood and a lot more options to play around with and more versatile :p

Re: blogging ads; it sad to seem him go but interesting to see how much it would sell for.

My wife and I thank you for this Mr. Cow :) Our financial problem is really hard on us right now and has been for the past 6 months, but we can’t pull it any longer and need to pay off the bills.

    Thank you.

Yep, the John Reese videos are excellent, I watched them all a couple of times. There is a lot of great information in there and the quality is excellent. I think that on top of the great information which show the guy knows his craft the videos are inspiring. As you say he is always raising the bar, he tries to ver deliver all the time. It’s a good lesson to learn and an inspiring one.

I think I’ll wait for the non-sponsored reviews of the program before jumping ship

  6. JK Swopes says:

With the amount of people promoting this, it could cause some to think it’s just about getting a check. BUT, with the type of people who are promoting this, it gives me comfort that it’s a great product.

Some of my favorite marketers, people I trust, have told me about this product, even before the pre-launch. I know it’s high quality, I haven’t had a chance to see the latest video yet.

  7. RB! says:

Anyone know what the maximum amount of orders they will be taking

    • Doug C. says:

Per the last video it is stated there will be no limited offer, no “buy now or miss the opportunity” pressure. It is stated that current supplies will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis. If they run out you will still get yours, it just may take a little time before it gets to you.

  9. Blogging Ads says:

So our brother bloggin-ads.com is for sale. Should be interesting to see what the new owner does with it. It’s safe to say that there is some confusion in the marketplace with bloggin-ads.com and bloggingads.com
