I agree with you Allyn. My sites look ugly too, not because they’re spammy but because that helps a lot with my Adsense CTR.

The key to ranking high in the search engines is,how to place your keywords on your site,who links to your site,the number of links to your site and who u link to. Master these and youu can geta top ranking for virtually any keyword.

I have ssen some website on the top organic search but when I look to see their traffic it is almost nothing compared to other sites…. how does this happen?

And are they giving true visitor experience?

I think it is funny when people call the guy in the #1 spot “spammy” or accuse him (me) of doing MFA sites.
The truth is, if the number 1 ranked site answers the question posed by the searcher, then that site is viable!
Just because my site is plain and ugly, and I link build and work harder than you doesn’t mean I am spammy or pumping out MFA sites. You are just jealous!

You make some great points in this post. Being in the top spot for a category doesn’t mean you have the best site. We have to remember this. Anyone can get on that first page or even first spot but we have to really understand SEO to get there.
