Don’t you just hate it when you’re the last one to bring the news? The lovely Miss Kumiko emailed us yesterday about the auction of her beloved money making blog, CashQuests dot Com. A Massive Money Maker indeed, as someone paid offered her the BIN (Buy It Now) price of $15,000 on the SitePoint dot Com auction. Not a bad job for a bit of blogging eh? We must hand it to her though, as long as we’ve been reading CC, she’s always been about the money and managed to stir some controversy with a few of her actions. Remember the time she turned off the comments on her blog? Even us cows got frustrated by this, yet intrigued that she had the balls (no pun intended) to make this decision and follow it through - it made her a more interesting blogger to follow.

So sorry about the delay in getting your blog auction some more attention Kumi, but we had the Entrecard dot Com review up for 24 hours (And we’ve already gathered enough credits to place our mugs on Shoemoney’s blog for free!) so we’re a bit late. Oh well, looks like you didn’t need the extra cow powerrr after all! We’ve seen plenty of links to the blog and the auction fly by and we’re sure that the new owner will be pretty happy with the extra attention. That is, if there is a new owner yet. The mysterious auction winner, worldbuyer, doesn’t have a whole lot of background to check into. We hope he or she is for real and will come through with the cash. If not, a great piece of linkbait anyway! Now let’s see if 5xmom can do the same trick.

This concludes today’s episode of selling blogs with the superstars. If you feel like crap now, because you missed out on a great deal to own a piece of blogging history - have no fear, we’re willing to listen to any offers that are over 20k

Worldbuyer is a big men  . He is the owner of Jayde, webpronews and the largest email spamming network (ientry). He jacked my auction of xbox360forums.com and got it 5k cheaper.

who ever buys this blog needs to do a serious evaluation of the content. cow, your posts have been sorta sucking, and i think you know that.

How ’bout I give you 20,000 cows? Just joking. I don’t have any sites that I would consider to be in this price range. Few that might be worth a grand and one that I won’t sell because it’s worth about $30,000 a year just sitting there.

I don’t really see the point of flipping blogs or websites anyway. Keep it and make the money.

I personally believe that there is HUGE money to be made in buying neglected blog properties with good back links specializing in pumping up RSS and Visits for a sale.

I have at least one project that I intend to sell within a few months and if all goes well quadruple the value.

Israel: quit your crying, you’re just upset that we didn’t want to guest post for you a few weeks ago when you asked us. If we suck, go read something else.

That’s a lot of cash! Maybe the site should be sold much more than that? Btw, I hope CashQuests continue to post interesting blog posts.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the blog in the coming months, my guess is that it’s traffic will drop considerably. Currently it has an Alexa Value of 20537.

I think if the buyer is big as hes thought to be, he will hire professionals to write who certainly will be more enticing than our old kumiko who is probably having a swim in her new found riches!

$15000, swim? More like a bit of a paddle.

Israel: you will never get ahead of me with top comments!

As far as Cow’s posts sucking lately, he mentioned this a week or so ago saying he was running outta things to moo about.

I think it’s time for him to Jump-the-Shark and post about something off topic.

Unfortunately, the blog is GONE, gone in the wind… Replaced by crappy ads from a holding the website domain parking company… Awfully sad. If you want to get her posts, you’d better raid the Google Reader backlog, to find them.

In some way, I see Kumiko’s departure from the fray of blogging as a loss. I like her style of writing and the way she stir up all the controversies.

I really do hope that the people who bought over her blog will have the same capability of what Kumiko is able to do. If not, I am sure that all the traffic and links that Kumiko previously built will be decreasing really fast.

Will 5xmoms get a buyer? I am really not sure…
