Red Light Blogging

We’re so tired. Couldn’t even be bothered posting yesterday after spending the entire day in Amsterdam city checking out all the tourist attractions. The in-laws came all the way from Australia, so we figured we’d show them a thing or two of which Amsterdam is famous around the world for. Sex and drugs.
Every corner has its own coffee-shop where the tourists and locals meet each other and get high. There’s not much too it, that’s really all they do.
More interesting is the red light district where the smartest business women in the world work. Us bloggers could learn a thing or two from them. They’ve mastered the art of presenting their business in such a way that even those people that are not interested in their services are impressed with them. They make sure that they flaunt what they’ve got and aren’t shy about showing it to anyone that wants to see it. They know that they need to attract your attention because you’re a potential customer.

Not only the ‘product’ itself gets promoted to the fullest, also the environment they do their business in is fully adapted to make customers feel comfortable and at ease. They basically provide everything one would want from a service like they provide. Quick, safe and private. Now we’re not encouraging you good folks to go visit the prostitutes, we’re just saying that you should look at how they sell their product. Obviously you’re in a different business than the prostitutes in Amsterdam, but essentially you’re after the same thing –pleased and returning customers.

  • Personal interaction: Respond to your commentators, they’re important.
  • Make it inviting: Make sure it’s easy to join in the fun. Don’t make readers register before they can start commenting.
  • Make it worth wile: A great first impression will surely be followed by return visits.

We could go on and on but like we said, we’re tired and we have to get up early tomorrow for another flight –sigh. Have a good weekend!

At first, I really thought you were talking about prostitutes… Then, you really write about prostitutes… Yeah, I think you are right! Whatever product and service that a business can do, it’s all about bringing back the customers and enjoy their business… Even a prostitute business needs to have a way of making their customers feel comfortable to come back for more… It’s a way of marketing too! Good thought!

I’ve always wanted to visit Amsterdam, not because I am a pot-head…I’m not…really…what was I saying? Anyway, Amsterdam always looked like a cool place to visit. People think the US is free…that’s the land of the free flying boobies and home of the brave patrons!

  13. Cash Quests says:

“What visiting prostitutes taught me about making money online” would have been a great linkbait title.

  14. KingJacob says:

Shoe, had a post on this a few months back but with strippers instead of prostitutes, they sell you nothing at a huge mark-up of course a prostitute kinda provides a service but considering you can get it for “free” its almost all profit
