PlugMe Please #4

Want to Learn How to Build a Business Not Just a Blog.. for FREE? CLICK HERE Now to Find Out How!

Its time for another PlugMe Please Post. To give back to the people that made us what we are today - coolest A-List bloggers on the block! We received a few free (life is great as an A-lister) ebooks to look at. None of the following mini-reviews are paid by the way! The two books we picked out of a bunch that were interesting enough to share with you guys were both we’re submitted by avid JohnCow dot Com readers and we deemed their books worthy

mmb.gifLets start with Thomas Sinfield who mailed us a free copy of his Beginners Guide to Making Money Blogging. This is a nice and cleanly written ebook. The title pretty much sums up what the ebook is about and we found that it’s a great little guide for those of us who have just set foot in the blogosphere. Where to get a name, your hosting, your blog installation, traffic, subscribers and most importantly, how to make some money. Well done Thomas, we feel this could be the first of many to come eBooks. If you guys aren’t interested in his eBook, he does have quite an interesting blog.

dm.gifNext up is another John, an Aussie who’s currently working in the EU. Besides running his DNxpert.com blog, it looks like John too loves to write eBooks. He recently published the Domaining Manifesto which is an excellent and extensive (86 pages!) source of all that is domaining. There’s absolutely money be made in this industry, and with John’s eBook, you’re getting an unfair advantage over the rest of them, just how we like it  Here’s a quote John managed to get from the namepros.com owner, Ron James;”John, I’m concerned. Are you sure you want to release this to the public? You’ve included knowledge in this book that’s taken domain industry pros like us years to learn. This so called Domaining Manifesto of yours will give people an unfair jump start into making serious money with domain names.”

Thomas’s book is clearly aiming at the newbie crowd, providing them with a solid base to start working from. John’s ebook however is for those of us that know their way around online. It contains a lot of solid advice which we can put to good use ourselves, having more than a handful of domains registered.

thanks for the review copies guys!

I always wondered if those ebooks are worth the money when you can read chow, the cow and everything for free. Is there any stuff in it that is not covered on those sites? Why should I buy them? Or are they for the beginner only?

It is useful for some people that would like to have some idea on helping their blog, you can read something like from johnchow or cow but sometime books can provide idea or advice that are good.

Oh wow! People should really consider plugging blogs just like you do, Milk Man. I noticed that the evil John Chow used to provide plug posts, but he’s big now so why does he have to bother..

I’ve read the Beginners Blogging Guide myself (another free copy  ) and it’s a decent guide to starting up and profiting with your own blog - has a few tips that I found pretty useful.

Sure, all information is available somewhere on the Internet, but heck - think of it as paying for the research ;)

thanks for the free plug! You are one of few A-list bloggers that even replied to me let alone gave me a free plug! I guess that is why your blog has grown so quickly!

Just curious, but who gives out the “A-list” blogger titles? What exactly constitutes being an A lister? Is it revenue? traffic? RSS subscribers?

I like you bob but not sure if you are up to par with what most consider “A-List” yet ;).

Also, although cash might not have traded hands, if you are getting free product it is in fact a “paid review”. If you bought something then reviewed it because you actually liked it then it wouldn’t be considered a paid review ;)

i have read those types of e-books and i’ve read the chow and cow. There’s no difference. Information can’t really change. All of the secrets have been revealed. No point now.
