Make Money With MillionEuroWiki!

Written by John Cow on September 24th, 2007

Haven’t we seen this one before? Yes and no! The one you’re thinking about does dollars, these guys do euros. (duh!). Since the dollar is worth less and less these days, some clever person quickly grabbed this opportunity to start a paid wiki service in euros. The milliondollarwiki is a success formula since it provides online money makers with a new, hot form of micro marketing. Buy a page and you’ll own it for life. Some smart people quickly grabbed some excellent pages like “Money, Business and Web_Design“. They’ve setup shop and are now actually starting to make nice money from their $100 investment by offering services, products or just putting up a page where they make money with affiliate links. The sooner they got in, the more choices they had for premium pages. The Million euro Wiki dot Com allows you to re-sell your page with a profit right away, no need to wait for them to have sold 10,000 pages first!

Too late over at the dollarshop? Now is the time to get in early and become the owner of some high quality pages on the millioneurowiki! They promise to not only host your page for life but to make sure the site gets advertised regularly and effectively which will insure a steady flow of traffic for every owner of a page on the millioneurowiki. This is great news, basically it means you do a one time investment of 75 euro, which is about $100 and you’ll be receiving free traffic from the paid advertising campaigns they run. And at the end of the road, you sell your page with a very healthy profit!

mew2.jpg

Some people might compare this site with the MilliondollarHomePage where you could buy pixels. That guy made his million dollars, but the people that bought the pixels made nothing! Why? Because they could not put up their adsense, their affiliate links, their services and their products up. The Million Euro Wiki gives you an entire page to create as you see fit. The great thing about this concept is that search engines will have plenty to index with all the pages being set up by page owners, the collective traffic that will be generated by like minded entrepreneurs that the community has and the heavy buzz marketing that the MEW dot Com will get. Some great names in the blogosphere, like John Chow, CashQuests and ourselves have already bought pages  As a promotion, we’ve got a $10 off coupon you can use when you buy the page of your choice. Just use “JohnCow” at the checkout and the discount will be deducted over at Paypal. Act before it’s too late is our bovine advise for today!

Oh, and then there’s a little something they do for the page owners. With every 25 pages that are sold, Million Euro Wiki will pick a random pageowner and give them a brand new 16GB iPod Touch worth $400! That’s pretty sweet if you ask us!

*edit* There seems to be some confusion. Yes, the millioneurowiki is our idea but we’re getting a little help from some others. Hence the “we”.

  1. Scam says:

You mention “they” who own the millioneurowiki but cashquests writes as if you are the owner - is that right?

  2. Cash Quests says:

John Cow wrote the post. I’m sure he’s writing about the “they” who support him behind the scenes by milking him daily. Either way, “JohnCow” is a great coupon code to use.

    *edit* oops, we edited!

  3. Ha! I was right! I secretly found out about this like last week. When I posted a comment saying something like “Does the new project happen to be called the MillionEuroWiki?” you denied it. Nice project by the way.

  4. Ali says:

If there is one coupon code to use, it’s “JohnCow”

    *edit* oops, we edited!

  5. Ali says:

LOL, you know we love Mr. Cow!

  6. Angel says:

Cow, why are you writing as if somebody else is behind this? I’m really confused here.

  7. Nightclub says:

Wow, I really see this site (owner by john cow or not) not becoming a success. Good luck with the get rich quick scheme all the same.

  8. I bought my page. :-) I hope you sell out quickly!

  9. Israel says:

doesnt seem worth it to me.

  10. Israel says:

okay this is starting to get ridiculous. seems like a group of bloggers trying to join forces to milk people. c’mon, cant john cow be more original. first he copies johnchow, now he is copying the million dollar wiki. jeeze. failure in the making.

  11. John Cow says:

Israel, and yet you choose to pay to advertise with us. Why?

  12. Lori Falcon says:

$90 bucks is still too much for this ol gal:(

  13. Scam says:

If this was someone unknown launching this project it would be doomed to failure as it has been done before, but the Cow has some influential people to blog about it… it might just work for him.

  14. Jon Kelly says:

I’m still waiting for the billion-peso-blogroll. Then I’m in.

  15. Angel says:

You know what Cow, even though I’m skepical about this whole venture, I hope it works out for you ‘cos you’ve always seemed like a kind of “real” dude. I won’t lie: when I read about this my initial reaction was one of disinterest, and then when I found out you were behind this thing my reaction was disbelief. And then reading the hype at Cash Quests I started to question God (I’m kidding).

I think this is a bold move, and I’ve had to really think about why my initial thoughts were so negative. I think part of it is that it is the way this was launched; it felt a bit misleading. And the Cash Quests review is so against the grain of how they write normally.

On reflection, I’ll watch with interest how this goes. I hope it does well for you. I came close to buying a page myself but decided against it in the end.

I hope you don’t take this criticism personally, but you should hear what people are thinking because there’s no sense in just praising something needlessly.

PS if anyone wan’ts to buy the Technology page it yours for 10,000 Euros.

  20. John Cow says:

Change in plan people. Every 25 pages sold will earn a random pageowner a brand new 16GB iPod touch!

  21. Word Hugger says:

I suggest you hire a designer, as both yours and the MDW look ugly in mine (as well as many other’s) opinions.

  22. Angel says:

I’d like an iPod Touch. That’s got me interested.

  23. John Cow says:

Never know, you might just get lucky Angel ;)

  24. Nice way of taking advantage in the huge boom of “make money online” blogs that have cropped up in the last few months. So far I’ve become one of bloggings most wanted, bought a million dollar wiki page and even sponsored a bloody car. I’ll give this one a miss for the time being, at least until my marketing budget recovers!

  25. Steven says:

This is what I get for waking up late in the afternoon

I may consider joining but we’ll see

  26. I happen to agree with Israel on this one…

What makes anyone think these sites are going to work in the long run? yes, you can expect traffic in the short term as the word gets out abuut it and people 1/2 interested click around a few pages to see whats been sold so far, but other than that, I really don’t see how it can be any benifit and it may even cause your site some harm in the next google update.

Other than that, I thought the original design was ugly, why would anyone want to copy an ugly design? but thats my opinion only…

Also, I dont see the original selling many pages these days, sure it did at the start as John Chow plugged it heavily along with some other bloggers, but it seems to have slowed down a lot since.. pity you dont include your page count sold so we can all see how well its doing…

I hope it does work for you but I think I’d prefer to optimise my own pages than paying out for a badly optimised page on a paid for wiki.

  27. John Cow says:

PropertyIreland: How will there be harm in a Google update? The page count will be implemented in a few days, it’s a work in progress. In the meantime, you can see the Index to see how many pages there have been sold. We’re counting 17 so far.

Don’t forget this is a one time fee, and you can sell your page for a profit tomorrow if you’d like.

  28. I’m not saying it will harm, but I would prefer to wait and see.

These wikis are so obviously a paid link service, you buy a page to put your links on it so maybe google will slap sites from these pages, we just don’t know yet.

I do hope it goes well for you though, love to see anyone make it online but I do think these sites will be a passing fad, hope i’m wrong…

  29. John Cow says:

Google will bash down on paid links but it will not do so when links are part of a paid review or site.

  30. [...] first heard of the MillionEuroWiki this afternoon when the latest post on CashQuests arrived via RSS. Having just recently heard of [...]

  31. Cash Quests says:

How can people be so skeptical and say there won’t be any benefit? Have they even been to DollarWiki? Top pages there have received over 30,000 views!

Sure, you can wait around on EuroWiki and see if it is successful, but by that time all of the best pages will be gone. The real money is only made by those who get in quick.

  32. Israel says:

cow, i bought an ad on the blog not on the wiki. dont know what you are getting at. its obvious you have a lot of traffic and thats why I bought an ad. duh.

the million euor wiki will fail. period. well, actually, the fact that you already sold 17 means you didnt fail because you at leaset made 1700 bucks and it didnt cost you that much to build it. but it will fail as far as getting huge, etc etc.

  33. John Cow says:

Israel: Quote: “cant john cow be more original. first he copies johnchow, now he is copying the million dollar wiki. jeeze. failure in the making.”

You don’t seem to have a problem to pay to get some traffic from a copied blog, but you’re saying that another copied idea is failure in the making?

It’s hard for us to see where you’re going with this.

  34. Deepak Dutta says:

And now we can all dig for a million dollar :)

  35. Top pages there have received over 30,000 views??? - only the second link (main page is the first) has recieved that, the next is almost 1/2 that, and looking down the page, no 20 is less than 1/2 than again, down at the end is no.50, which is 1/10 of what you say what the top pages get.

Now, considering that this site got lots of plugs from the top-make-money-online-blogs how much of these clicks can be attributed to browsers from those sites 1/2 thinking about the idea and browsing a few pages or those who did buy a page and wanted to see what others were doing?

Have you ever found a milliondollarwiki page in a decent page on search results for any search? if so, please post them here as I would love to see them.

I really wish people would stop inflating the figures so that they can make sales and instead provide decent feedback on the service.

Did you or JohnCow buy a milliondollarwiki page? If so, please post about how well you did before posting about a new copycat service.

  36. Sorry JohnCow, but I as another person who bought a spot on your blog does see where Isreal is comming from.

He is making decent points and I happen to agree with him and if you can’t take those comments on board as relevant feedback, I think this is another reason your copied idea will fail…

fair enough to copy but atleast make it some what original, like you did with your new theme, post your own expierences with the original and why this will do as well if not better and please don’t announce a project as if it is not your own…

    just my 2c worth..

and by the way, why is it called the millionEUROwiki when you charge the same in dollars and all talk about it seems to be in dollars?

  37. Cash Quests says:

What figures have been inflated? You can the numbers for yourself on DollarWiki.

  38. What figures have been inflated?

you say “Top pages there have received over 30,000 views” - only the first page that is listed there besides the index page has got that - no others! and even at that, it is mainly because people interested in the idea, or who have read about the site on other blogs will click on the ‘Most Popular’ link and check the first few sites - these are not people who did a search in the search engines and found those pages.

It is quite easy to manipulate figures and use them to your advantage as i’m sure you know.

Why does JohnCow use awstats figures on this site and not google analytics? he says its because of page load times but if you look at all the other non optimised content on the site, do you really think he cares about page load times? i’d say not. The real resaon is to play with figures…

    but that is off topic…

  39. Timpani says:

So what alternate means of entry into your iPod Touch contest not requiring a purchase are you offering as required by law?

  40. Cash Quests says:

I still don’t get what’s inflated. They’re the top pages and they’ve received over 30,000 views. I’m not saying the top1000 pages receive over 30,000 pageviews or anything like that.

  41. Softsled says:

I have no affiliation with any of these type of sites, so I would consider my opinion unbiased.

At first glance these sites seem a little gimmicky, but do you consider Yahoo’s directory gimmicky? They actually serve a purpose. I will probably buy a page one of these sites just to help promote another website. These sites can definitely be a tool to help you rank for certain keywords. That in itself may be a little gimmicky, but it’s only the end results that I am concerned with.

  42. KingJacob says:

I think its funny about all the people bashing on it for being a copy, dont you know there are no new ideas just rehashed and reworked old ones;)

  44. 1st I’d like to address some of the naysayers:

    1. Copying in of itself does not mean you’ll fail. The trick is doing it right. Note the Japanese didn’t create the VCR, they just made it profitable. They didn’t create the TV either. Apple didn’t invent the mp3 player… etc. etc.

    2. Even 30,000 views is alot. Take into account that it is a one time fee and you can put up whatever you want, its a good deal.

    3. Only thing I hate is the wiki format. I can’t edit for crap! If anyone would want to bid I’ve bought 3 pages.

I bought dating sites, computers, and investment. I’m hoping to win that Apple Touch! 3/25 odds? That’s pretty good if you ask me (better than the lotto ticket I bought last week).

Anyone has any tips/referals to someone to develop the pages please leave a comment for me (that includes you John Cow!).

  47. tiffany says:

I do not think the website have any value, it just make money from some affiliates who are eager to make money.

  48. Israel says:

cow, paying for ads on a high traffic site isnt rocket scienece. whether its copied or not. i am paying for the traffic. this blog has already been proven to not be a failure so far.

my stance onthe failure of the euro wiki is clear. it will make YOU money now, but it will fizzle in the end having tons of pissed off people that paid for crap. they could be better off buying an ad on your blog or via textlink ads or adwords.

my point is that i bought an ad on a high traffic blog to get impressions and hopefully clicks (which by the way has been really really low). and that your euro wiki thing will only make you a winner in the end (maybe chow and a few others too).

why dont you understand that and why do you keep on mixing the two things up?

  49. Sander says:

Just added a page to the million euro wiki, http://millioneurowiki.com/Search_engine_optimization

    Did I win the iPod?

    Good luck.

  50. krillz says:

ah gayness, you should go for €100, more money for you then.

Anyone up to start the millionPESOwiki? hahah

We should start one in the saudi arabian currency, now that one is worth a lot.

  51. I think throwing in all those ipods is a great deal. I personally would have done that and not charged less than the million dollar wiki. But your description was a bit misleading - as though you had nothing to do with the project at all -especially when you said that you had also bought pages yourself.

Why sell something and pretend it isn’t yours? Or will you only be getting a small chunk after you’ve paid John Chow and others out for promoting it for you?

  52. Jonathan says:

Guys, I was just wondering why are you so lazy. This site is barely updated once a day, if I were you, I would start making morning posts.

  53. Not bad at all Cow! You get a 0 for being original, but top marks for capitalizing on an opportunity. I hope you’ve fixed up some of the code on your wiki, because the iFrames wern’t displaying properly the last time I paid a visit.

As for the why, perhaps because they don’t have a sitemap xml file.
