I got keyword elite a few years ago, but never used it, since I did not have time to read the manual, however I followed your keyword research and have tried to use it, but it seems that your keyword elite illustrations in this tutorial is different from the one I have. For example, Project 5, which is the one you use and is named "Analyze Adwords Competition" on your tutorial illustration, is named "Spy Adword Competition" on mine.

Additionally, after I paste my keywords, I get another screen requiring me to type at least one website. I notice your illustration does not show or mention to enter a website URL And it won't let me run the keywords without entereing one website. I'm very confused. I have downloaded the recent update release on 8/24/08.

My "options" screen does not look anything like your illustration. I'm really stucked

from a 'bum' keyword research point of view, would it not be possible (timely, yes) to manually check once a day if the advertisers adwords ad is appearing for the keyword?

Hey John!

Great information! I started using a lot of Brad Callen’s methods and software over 4 years ago and he is top-notch. Have you ever used SpeedPPC.com?

I have been looking at this product for a while now and it seems to be very effective.

keywordspy.com and spyfu.com are both great.. we own spyfu and got it at a great deal almost a year ago. They are in our opinion nice to haves and help provide time saving and more info but not mandatory. This however is just our opinion. Once you have the budget to afford the other tools then start looking at them.

Cow, great post btw- it was informative in seeing that 1, Affilite Elite is gaining ground as a must-have tool. I was going through another affiliate course that i have, and the person recommended using Keyword Spy.com- this is also a paid program. My question is, do i really need to shell out 80+ dollars a month just to do KW research or is Affiliate Elite enough?

Not a dumb question at all... we will not lie and say there is no such thing as a dumb question, because some are dumb but this is not :)

It depends on when you have it scheduled to run, you will need to make sure every morning when you start your computer that affiliate elite is on... then you will be good.

There are a few reasons for this Roo. The settings allow you to pick where you want the search to happen and so if it is searching a different country, say you are in the UK and it is searching USA then the ads would be different from what you see to what the program sees. From your IP however, it appears you are in the USA so that is most likely not your issue.

The second thing is when you run AdWords there are two options. You can have your ad run as much as possible to max out your budget as fast as possible, or you can have it run spread out more. Most people do not have the ad running full out and so this is why when you go to Google and hit refresh the ads will change. One time the ad will be there and one time it might not be.

We address this when the 14 days are over :)

They do not actually block your IP, instead they make you use a captcha (image verification) which causes the tools to not work. This is not permanent and is only for a couple hours.
