I am spending a lot of time thinking about this very subject. Ideas pop into my head in the middle of the night and the next morning I fail to act on them.
I was doing exactly what you speak of and getting no where. I would start 10 projects and never get any of them really rolling and to their true potential. What made me stand up and take notice was I would NEVER operate like this in my offline professional life, where what has made me successful was originating and initiating successful promotions from beginning to end and seeing them through. So i took a step back and decided to employ the same gameplan for my online life. For example the current project I am working on I have a 2 month development plan before I launch it or even reveal it publicly. That way I have done my homework and am truly prepared to give the project the 100% effort it deserves.
That is the biggest mistake I see people making. they are working on 20 different online projects at once and none are really "home run" ideas and all suffer. Really mapping out a well thought out game plan outline for action is the way to go with any project you start IMO.

A kingdom is never built in a day, as the saying goes.

A dream is easy to made, crafting it to become a reality is the difficult part.

Once in a while a post like this helps to wake my idea up. It's a wake up call to me to work on my idea and keep the focus still.

Hello guys, glad the majority of you like my post.

As to kellex and Chris Jacobson, not sure what you mean by Fly-By seeing as how I have guest posted on bigger blogs then this one already in Marketing-Pilgrim and JohnChow!

I am here for the long run and you can bet on that, every post I make on my own blog is about stuff I have been through myself.

Hope to see you all there as well and God Bless everyone!

Thanks once again for allowing me to guest post!

I always thought about the same thing, that we should not try to get many things done at once without focusing on note thing in particular. In the end, this causes all of your blogs to fail and blame it on something else.

I think this is the first test of what your made of and how much determination you have to see it through the dark times. Dry times happen. Innovate and execute and never second guess yourself, to never do anything is a total loss, to fail and learn is a step in the right direction. Thanks for the wonderful post letting us all know that all of us often experience these situations. +1

Thanks Shannon, definitely a great idea to narrow your focus. This is the whole idea behind writing a niche blog essentially. I tend to overdo things much too often, and its much better to have a little success than watch your extreme efforts blow up in your face ;)
