We have all seen it, this website is even a tribute to it. What is it you ask? Simple, the elusive moooney making blog. How do they do it? Do they know some secret that the rest of us have yet to figure out? Obviously since they are making it and we are not. Are they part of some ultra-secret organization? If so how do we join? Have they conquered the dark art of traffic attraction? Or is it simply a matter of them being in the right place at the right time? In other words is it all Luck?

I think it is a combination of all the above. After all they obviously know the secret even if it really isn’t a secret. They do belong to an organization of elite blogs and the price of admission is success and traffic with the benefits being even more success and traffic. Plus they have figured out that dark art which eludes so many of us, the right mix of this and that which will attract hordes of traffic giving them more exposure and attracting even more traffic. And then there is always the plain fact that they might just have gotten lucky.

A timely post, the right exposure, the right visitor, a write-up in the right blog can mean all the difference. Being a blogger is like being in high school all over again. Popularity breeds popularity. Sometimes it is as simple as getting your link featured in the right place, sometimes you have to put a bit more effort into it but the end result is the same. You have been associated with the right blog, so people naturally are curious just how you got there and why.

A click is all it takes. Several thousand clicks can start you on your way; a few million more will make you a star. So now that we know what it is we just have to go out there and find it.
