How To Get Paid AND Get Free Traffic
Posted on March 28th, 2008 by John Cow under Guest BloggersIf you're new here, you may want to check out this cool new contest. You could win almost$3000 in Prizes!
If you’ve been a good little subscriber, you must have seen our previous post about this nifty auction plugin for your wordpress blogs. We were actually going to post a follow-up since our iPod auction is ending in a few days, and to let you know how much free traffic it has already brought us. Anyway Hyder, the genius behind the plugin (and our sexy blog design), beat us to the punch and wrote the following post for us so we can take it easy for the rest of the day. He even tried his best to make it look like we wrote it ourselves, isn’t he adorable?
Here goes…
Are you ready to sell stuff on your blog, keep all your profits and get some free traffic with it too? If you are then WP Auctions Gold, the premium version of the revolutionary auction plugin for WordPress, is for you.
If you don’t know about WP Auctions then here is a quick intro. Basically the plugin lets you host auctions on your own blog without having to use a third party like eBay or any other auction site out there, plus the plugin can get you some free traffic too!
Some of the Gold features include -
- Upload up to 4 images per auction
- Show your auctions in a list format, rather than graphical format
- Sell products only on Buy it Now option
- Sell products with a Buy it Now option
- Show eBay feedback, if you have any, to increase bids
- Improved RSS functionality
- and many more backend improvements
Right now the Gold version comes packaged with 5 free color styles, valued at $250 if designed individually, so you can use the plugin on a variety of blogs you may possess and chances are one of the styles will fit snugly into it. Also, this version comes without a link on the sidebar, unlike the free version.
The Gold version comes at a small cost of $24.99, with free upgrades for life {Hyder tells us there’s many more developments going on}.
Let’s not forget the free traffic bit now, We’ve been getting around 20 - 30 visits a day from the Live Auctions page. Hyder, the guy behind the plugin, has said that there’s a lot more to come. So early adopters can except to see a steady stream of traffic to their blogs, all you need to do is get the plugin, activate it, register on our Live page and post up an auction. It couldn’t be simpler!
Bonus offer for John Cow readers: If you are buying the plugin from us you can get a customized style for a special price! Rather than plunking down $50 you can get one for only $24.99. A customized style will fit into your blogs design, just like ours does and this swanky one made for Shoemoney, and look much more appealing than the default color styles. Here’s what you need to do to get the special style price -
- Buy the plugin for only $24.99
- Email designed [at] weborithm [dot] com with your purchase ID which you’ll get from PayPal
- Once verified you’ll be able to get one custom style for the special price of $24.99, instead of $49.99
- That’s it!

Rumour has it that you’ll soon be able to auction blog ad space directly through the widget (100% automated), so everyone should have something to sell.

You know for once I find myself wishing I was some kind of pack rat. I don’t have anything to sell….I know what you’re going to say….and I thought you wanted me to give that away in a contest. Which I may still do….

The plugin can be used to sell adspace too at discounted rates, special deals, or reviews etc…I’ve made more money with using the plugin, to sell reviews, last month than I did with PayPerPost!?!
