In July we announced that we were sharing half the wealth gathered through our advertising with the top commentator. Unfortunately this led to a commenting race between two people. Behavior we would not like to encourage. So here’s this months plan, blatantly copied from the new and hopefully improved Make Moooney tab.
Every last day of the month we are taking a look at the the top commentators section in the sidebar and we will pick 1 person at random from that. He or she gets paid half of what we made with our advertising that month. (but remember kids, spamming is bad and we will be mooderating!). That’s right, we are giving away 50% of all our ad earnings in cold hard cash to the one of the most actively commenting members of the herd! Just imagine; If we were to make only 10% of the Big Beef himself, $1200, the top cow here will get paid $600, no questions asked. How’s that for easy money online huh?
All those other money making blogs, raking in thousands of dollars each month because of their readers, give away free crap they got for free themselves in the first place. We wanted to take it to the next level and be different, thankful and generous. It’s you that pays for our monthly hosting farm and it’s you who makes our grass greener and milk fresher than on the other blogs by digging, reddit-ing, stumble-ing, del.icio.us-ing and telling your friends about us, and it’s only fair that you should get paid for all your wonderful effort and comments. We want to be your favorite cashcow!

Great Idea! What’s with your website. Now when I log on it occasionally knocks me off. Am I the only one noticing this.
Its says internet explorer can’t open this site. Operation aborted after about 10 seconds of being on. The only way I can stay on is to click on a specific post.

I know this happens on IE6. Not sure of IE7 since the only time I use IE is when I am at work. Firefox is definitely the preferred browser for me =]

The comments should at least not be one or two words comments, thats for sure. And I don’t think there is anything wrong with commenting back and forth as long as you are commenting for commenting sake =]

Ok, we’ve changed a few things around. Is anyone still having problems with this blog in IE?
IE sucks, just checked this blog in IE and it looks fine, also checked opera, safari, netscape it looks ok in all of them

Yes IE6 is having problems. oddly enough the sidebar is fixed. It’s no longer at the bottom of your blog but your site kicks me off after loading too long. I have to hit the stop button. No biggie for me I’m getting back fire fox very shortly.
oops, sorry I ment it kicks me off only when I click the comments section. the homepage loads now.
I did get worried when your site was redirecting to John Chow’s! Now who will give me the money I deserve from commenting?

Cool - a competition I can understand - and after all it’s understanding that is important. So I just increased my understanding thanks to you. I doubt if I’ll increase moo wealth ’cause that depends on forces outside of moo control and I have discovered over time that such forces hate mooe.
