Hey, I have to agree with Jason (TUK) about including the post you want to submit in the initial e-mail. I have guest posted and know a lot of people who have guest posted on A-list blogs like Problogger, John Chow, etc and they have always included the post within the initial e-mail. That way you waste less time of the A-lister because they don’t have to send you two e-mails but rather one stating yes or no.

But guest blogging definitely has some great advantages, you just have to do it correctly and soon enough you’ll be getting some decent traffic from it as well.

I have a few sites that I definitely want to guest post on, and I think I will now be adding JohnCow to my list… it is definitely a great way to build a readership up. Plus, a backlink is always nice too.

I like it John, I totally agree… and I have done several posts as well that have gotten some decent coverage. You got to make sure first and foremost that he posts are actually good, but after that the sky is the limit. If anyone has free time, I recommend sitting down and just writing up some quick potential guest posts to have a bank to fall back on.
