Bummer...sorry to hear it. :-( Free doesn't matter if it doesn't work for you. Best of success just the same.

It's not the quality of the results in terms of my search phrase I worry about but rather the lack of pages that you can actually leave a comment on. I've ran at least 30 seperate tests now and the pattern with CommentKahuna is consistent for me. Out of 50 results, many are category pages, almost all are nofollowed (no matter what the program thinks) and the rest have comments closed. I would say I get 1 followed link if I'm lucky per batch and maybe a couple of nofollowed.

Between that and it crashing every few pages I don't find it all that useful, but then again as you quite rightly oint out it's completely free :) You see if I wrote a tool like that, that worked 90%+ I'd keep it to myself ;)

Great post! Link baiting really is key in getting a top spot on google or any major search engine. Most people don't realize if you take the time to post high quality blogs and articles, then submit them to high PR websites or directories, you don't need to pay for advertising. This post re-affirms my my thinking. I'm learning some great tips here at your Cowpetition :)

Sorry, we did not mean that we used wordpress.org for links, what we meant is that it was a tool to make life easier... wordpress makes having a blog incredibly simple. That is what we meant.

Great post, I loved reading about how you use traffickahuna, stumbleupn, squidoo and others to get the link juice flowing. Do you think you could elaborate a bit more on how you would use WordPress.org to leverage some traffic? I just don't understand what you mean by this. Also, how do you accomplish "link-baiting"... a subject you seem to talk about quite frequently.

Thanks for the help and great article :)

John,
Every time I read your posts, I realize I need to hire an assistant. :-) Great ideas and worth implementing, especially the idea of directly sending traffic to up the popularity of your posts there.Thank you.

My question is this: how much duplicate content will SE's tolerate? For instance, I have a few longer blog posts that have generated great traffic. Can I post that on ezinearticles to proliferate it further or should I only create new content for that?

By the way: @moneymakingschemes--sorry to hear about your problems with commentkahuna. I use it and love it. I find that alot of people aren't very good at seo or theming so it doesn't always pull up sites that are as related to my search words as I had hoped, but I hold the sites more responsible than I do CK. Fortunately, it was a free tool, so I guess it could be worse. :-)

Glad to hear you will keep posting. I'm learning tons.

Together, we are stronger.

Their Comment Kahuna software put me off ever giving this a go. It didn't do anything it promised (the pages it found were more often than not category pages that you couldn't comment on) and had that many actual bugs/crashes that it drove me mad.
