Hi, Hello and Bonjour!

I’m Abdalla. The self-proclaimed Xbox 360 Fanboy. Some of you (less than 1%) may have come across my Technology & Console blog entitled SweetHacks.com, if you have not then what the heck are you waiting for!

I’m fairly new to the world of blogging but the big boys such as JohnChow and Problogger oh and the Cows have taught me many ways as to how to build up your blog, its traffic and backlinks thus increasing its popularity. This blog also has taught me that you can get free milk delivered online, cool or what?

Some of you may have good amounts of money saved up to spend on advertising your blog via traditional methods such as Google Adwords or Text-Link-Ads but when you are new to blogging and annoyingly only 19years of age (hey, thats me) you simply may not be able to afford paying towards these costs…oh also paying already out of your pocket towards studying does not help (again thats me!), I’m sure Enkay would agree. Sitematch Ads via google do add up after a bit and unless you have the financial background or income you wont be able to spend enough to get good traffic.

So how can we get free backlinks or at the very least for ridiculously cheap prices?

Hah, I’m sooo the right person to ask!

Recently I came across a site dedicated to link exchanges. For a mere $24.95 per month you can Get Over 1017 One Way Links. 1017 links to your blog/site for less than $25? Even I can tell thats cheap however I’m a bargain hunter, I ALWAYS look for something very very cheap if not FREE. Luckily this time it is.

The same guys from Link Exchange Experts are doing a Free link exchange where you can get over 200 different reciprocal links. All you have to do is register with Free Link Exchange and download a .php file to which you upload on your server. Heres an idea of how it will look:

A live example can be found by Clicking Here

There is another company named One Way Text Link offering the same type of deal, you may visit them by clicking here.

So does it work? Do We Actually Get Backlinks to our Homepage?

I have tested this with one of my blogs, Xaasid.com and the results have been great thus far. 321 links was shown to be linking to www.xaasid.com within the space of 2 weeks. This number would have been much higher had it not been for the server we being hosted at crashing. Basically, as long as you have the .php (or .asp) files up on your server, the backlinks will continue and your well on your way to getting a boost towards your page rank.

Heres a picture of how Google Webmaster Tools on Xaasid.com: Click Here, 321 links of which at least 300 are from these free backlink schemes, not too bad hey?

Another great way to get “google ads” style advertisement for FREE is by signing up to Agridwork. They combine the best of two previous banner exchange programs and current contextual ad programs. It’s a free contextual text link exchange program.

Why use adgridwork to advertise your website?

I dont need to tell you, they do a great job themselves:

Now, that was for the freebies out there reading this post, what about the semi rich or wealthy bloggers out there?

Being a natural cheapo, I don’t like to spend my well earned cash without contemplating how it will benefit me (the purchase). Therefore you will not see my link appearing anytime soon on featured sections of famous sites such as john chow’s. However, you very much will be seeing my link appear on CashQuests pretty soon. Why you ask? Kumiko writes good quality content on a daily basis, namely of how to “Make Money Online” and last time I checked with i Web Tool, she was predicted a PR5 in the upcoming update. Heck, with the update coming anytime this month I get great value in terms of SEO and a little Juice to spicen up my Page Rank.

Your site will be listed under the ‘Wealthy Sites‘ section of Cash Quests until the 10th of September 2007. Order now and get one month of exposure and traffic for only $10, now if thats not a bargain I do not know what is.

Of course there are more places to get quality links but to me its also about the price tag an item (or link) carries.

Well I think its time for me to get some milk so upon that I say until next time!

P.S; according to a few friends of mine (that are crazy about SEO) think these free linkbacks (from the two sites mentioned above) may be just counted as spam links and may not really add anything towards your page rank. I have no idea but so far I have not seen any real reasons as to why not use them. You guys got any ideas about the above theory? I would love to hear your view’s.

I am not sure of such linking techniques. Google is against such linking techniques. Hence I am not sure whether to get involved in similar link exchange schemes and link trains.

My friends warned me of that therefore I mentioned it. Adgridworks is free though and an alternative to Adwords.

I somewhat agree with Joyce, but thanks for the info anyway. BTW, bonjour means good morning, not hello. It’s a common misconception. Salut is the correct way to say hello in French.

I was referring to Google banning your site from its search results, not from Adwords.

You should read this before purchasing a link exchange:

Examples of link schemes can include:

    * Links intended to manipulate PageRank
    * Links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web
    * Link exchange and reciprocal links schemes (”Link to me and I’ll link to you.”)
    * Buying or selling links

That defeats the whole purpose of buying links from high PR blogs via text-link-ads and so on!

Remember what happened to John Chow. Now JohnCow.com comes as the first result if you search for John Chow. JohnChow.com was penalized by Google for link exchange.

If I get a PR for my newer blog this month or whenever the next PR update takes place, it will have been definately worth it.
