So you got them to opt in or try a free trail…. now what???
In the below video I talk about the importance of helping your customers see exactly why they made a wise decision and how to get the quickest and most effective use out of it.
Oh and what you think of the singing cow intro

John,
I totally believe in what you are saying about the free trials. On my blog, http://www.jasonverdelli.com, I always give free information, but when it comes to visitors buying memberships it is almost crucial to offer the free trial to give them a taste of what they are going to receive. Great post!
Hi John,
Getting the lead is important but the relationship building does get to be more important than anything else.
This is true off line and online.
Online I get to see it from the customer’s side more clearly. Often people already having received my order seem to be oblivious to it and keep hammering me with the sales letter again and again, for the same product.
And some of them are the so called gurus.
After that kind of treatment another product purchase by me from them is almost out of the question.
They are just after the money and obviously don’t give a hoot about their customers other than trying to milk them. They don’t even bother trying to offer something else. Their asking how I’m doing with the product never occurs to them.
So what you are talking about is extremely relevant.
I appreciate your clear instructional video and I’m glad you like cats now.

I’d have to agree with you.
Hi Jason.
Loved the intro singing cow (and your cat). It’s perrrr-fect! I’m setting up a membership site on money mindset development down under in Oz called YourMoneyMojo.com and love that I can get good advice from you (from where-ever you are). I’m wondering what I can offer people as a sneek peek of what they get on my site. People certainly need to know what they’re buying but coming up with the right free offer needs some thought. I’m thinking. Thanks for your blog. I like it!

Great Jason! Once again…I love to tune in for your posts always.
Following up on a sale is very important because you want to make sure that the customer is satisfied with the product and want to make sure that they don’t have any questions that need answered
Excellent Intro, definitely grabs your attention at 3 in the morning!
Continued customer support is vital, far too often companies neglect customers, once you hand over the money they forget about you, and you’re about as important as someone whose not interested in their product.
I’ve started a free trial of our product, http://www.securinu.com
We offer free updates, and customers are able to opt to receive a newsletter, so far it is going very well!
Jason your spot on! fortunately we have a free members area where content is added all the time so, Letting gogvo subscribers know there is more content at zero cost… Making them more inclined to open the emails we send.
Yeah people love to have their hands held.

I agree that relationship building is the most important part.
Hello. after you sell a prospect, ‘spam the heck’ out of them. why not? trying to be nice and build like values has its place, but you need to put values aside if you want to expand your “boat-load.” a lot of customers will buy then forget you ever lived – that’s commerce rule #1 (don’t try to contact people and find out whether their happy or not), instead, you need to remarket ($) etc.
Value = Credibility! Credibility = Repeat Business!- Getting folks to opt-in requires some reasonable assurance that the reader will receive something useful – at least enough vaue to override the potential risk of sharing the opt-in information.
The follow up just ensures that the bargain is complete and a fair exchange has been made.
There have been a few situations when I personally have been followed up on. One was when I bought my wife’s engagement ring, I was thanked in a card. I did make an impression on me, that’s for sure.

Follow-up is essential because it helps to create a relationship that doesn’t yet exist. Your goal, as you create and grow the relationship, should be to build trust. Trust is crucial, especially on the internet, and is what leads to sales and referrals.
