I’m struggling with this, too. Here is an example of one of my posts – it’s meant to be informative, yet I’m not making many sales.

Should I be sticking a “buy now” button next to it?
Maybe using a text box insert in the post?

I need to look into becoming an affiliate marketer, although i think my blog has nothing to do with it because i just blog on whatever, should blogs be more focused on one particular niche for us to become an affiliate marketer?

I really have not tried plunging into this field of affiliate marketing, albeit I have this impression that one can make money better from it if done right. But do I actually have to make active sales pitches in order to achieve sales or is it possible to just place a link on my blog, and then just do nothing yet still realize some sales?

very true and I would add that I get annoyed with guys who on their sites find it necessary to point out that “yes this is an affiliate link” or on the other hand, “this is not a paid review here so that means I must really believe in this product.”

honestly, that’s crap. Does Rush Limbaugh tell you that every commercial is paid for on his radio show? No, it is obvious. people trust him and buy, period.
If you are an affiliate marketer, then don’t apologize for it, just sell some stuff!!!!

Good reminder. I was wondering what ever happened to John Cow TV? Did you get cow back? Did someone win the contest? Also I don’t think you ever really answered your what is it all for post.
