I actually agree with Google on their decision to terminate accounts; although, I don’t agree with the way they went about doing it. Advertisers need to provide quality, useful content on landing pages. That’s really what Google wants, and ultimately, will provide a better user experience for everyone.

Weak sites with no redeeming social value will suffer under the blows of the Google Hammer.

Get Rich Slick plans (sites) often go quickly away and what is left are the sites with true value.

Note to self:
Be extremely cheap, that way you will work harder on good organic traffic.

For example, I’ve noticed that since all this new round of slapping has begun, my AdSense income has dropped a little, but my Clickbank income has increased slightly.

I am only speculating at this stage, but it could turn out to be that one of the potential benefits of this latest round of Google “improvements” on the PPC side if they are targeting affiliate sites and affiliate landing pages, is that the pages on some of my blogs that feature both Clickbank product reviews and AdSense in the sidebars will not be competing as much with visitors for the opportunity to sell the same product, if some of the affiliate ads that were previously showing on the page via AdSense are no longer showing because the advertisers’ Adwords account were terminated.

Again, this is all theoretical speculation as I haven’t yet got any significant data results to support this, but if the net effect of Google’s changes mentioned above were indeed to happen, then losing out on a few cents from AdSense clicks but making dollars on sales of the same affiliate product organically is not a bad trade off at all.

I see Web2mayhem is launched. I imagine this service would help. I want to join, I really do, but I have been unemployed for awhile and I just don’t have a lot of funds.
I just recieved an email today on some ‘tighting of the belt” for Google. It sounds as though this is going to make the playing field harder. It seems to me that what is happening is Google is trying to “clean up” their web results, both organic and PPC. It means nothing for those that have already been doing a pro job. But it will likely bury most “half ass” sites and campaigns.
It is interesting to watch the evolution of Google, it has become such a beast! Today I will be trying to talk myself into tightening my own belt and finding the cash to get Web2Mayhem before the doors close again.
