Death Of A Blog

Hi kids, we just wanted to let you know that we’ve had to make a tough decision today. Some of you might know that we’re also the author of BobmeetsWorld. As of now we have decided not to spend any more time on it because we were spreading ourselves too thin and it showed in the quality of the posts.
We are uncertain of BobmeetsWorld’s future as we don’t know what we’re going to do with it yet. We might redirect the domain here or perhaps use it to set up something different. For now we’re just going to leave it as it is.
JohnCow is now getting all our attention and we hope we can continue to build it into one of the best blogs ever!

That’s all for today, we’re enjoying our weekend and hope you will too!

JohnCow.com has gotten enough attention to make up for both the sites! A redirection might be worth it!

    I remember something similar here:

You could always go the route of Desi Baba and sell it to the highest bidder!

Certainly this is your decision to make, but for me, this “JohnCow” thing has been a fun experiment – a bit like one of those knee-slappin’ spoofy David Zucker movies. Sure, it’s been a hoot – and quite an SEO eye-opener – but I’d sooner see you shut this little gag down and continue on with your main blog.

Either way, I’ll still be a loyal reader… just my humble opinion.

Thanks Rob and Sabrina, we appreciate your thoughts. We have thought about the pros and cons and this is the decision we’ve made. Only time can tell if its the right one!

Glad to hear you guys are sticking around :)

I don’t think johncow.com is a gag. Not anymore. It has become a blog to be reckoned with. It’s serious and yet more witty and much more fun than most other blogs. There are other established blogs with weird names, so I don’t see anything wrong with the name JohnCow. It’s unique and bankable!

While many may consider this blog a gag or have thought of it as one, I really enjoy the way the blog has turned out. Not that I don’t like bobmeetsworld, it just doesn’t have the quite that touch that hits just right the way the Cow does it. Although I do visit bobmeetsworld from time to time and actually read this news off that site first before I even saw it on this site as soon as I got home from my trip.

Oh I will miss BobMeetsWorld.com, when you do post it always makes me laugh! I need jokes in my life. JohnCow is super funny too, but it doesn’t make laugh anymore when I just hear it :c). You could just cut down your posting to like 1-2x a week. And leave it at that! You’ll kill your backlinks etc if you just redirect the main domain, especially if those links go to certain pages on your blog.
