Cow 2.0

Ladies and Gentlemen, cowboys and cowgirls. Welcome to what is possibly the hottest blog re design know to man, Cow 2.0.
Don’t bother reading this post just yet –just have a click around the place a little. Loads of cool things to see, take your time and say hello to our new sponsors.
If you’re done staring, you might want to close your mouth and wipe that saliva of your chin. Don’t worry, we’re still drooling ourselves!
So, you’ve probably noticed that we don’t really look like some other guy’s blog like we used to. He changed his theme a few weeks ago and we we’re left with a choice. Stick to the old theme, get something like him again, or stand on our own four feet. We think that the Cult of Cow has grown considerable at this time so we decided to take the plunge. And we’re glad we did!
Hyder from Weborithm dot Com made us this fantastic professional blog design and we couldn’t have worked with a better guy. The patience and professionalism he’s displayed throughout the design process is quite amazing. We’ve pushed and pulled the guy every time we wanted a little detail changed but after some time we knew that we could give him full creative freedom without a doubt. We absolutely LOVE what he’s done to our barn! The header was done by SOSfactory dot Com
One of the main things we wanted to focus on was to create more opportunity for our sponsors to be seen. Have a look at the sidebar and you’ll see what we’re talking about. Not only do you get a bigger button from us (140 vs 125), you also just have to share the spots with just 5 others. We’ve implemented the ad rotation to give everyone an evenly distributed placing over time. If we may be so bold, some of the advertisers had to hurry in getting us the buttons in a 140×140 size, so they’re not very attractive. Hyder is available to create buttons for you guys, he also made the ones for DealDotCom which are now used around the Net!
Now, what we really like to hear is your opinion and your suggestions. If you run into a bug anywhere, please let us know. Although we went over the code for hours, there’s always one that manages to slip in. Hyder did an outstanding job and we think Mr Nate Whitehill has some serious competition right now. You want a sweet theme like ours? Tough luck. Weborithm makes sure all their clients get a one of a kind custom theme!
Now everybody wave and say goodbye to our two lovely cows. They’ve been standing around long enough. buhbaaaaai!

I would like to hear more posts that go in this direction. Good work! I have to send you right over to our favorite moooney making blog to check out his new design – Cow 2.0. It’s simply amazing, breathtaking. The designer (which you’ll find inthis post) is going to give Nate Whitehill a run for his money – hands down. The new design is super creative and one-of-a-kind. Good job MilkMan! My friend Robert MacEwan from macewan.org posted a graph of the earnings he pulled in as of September 15th with
step. Once John approved the first draft creating the rest of the theme was a breeze. Well kind of, the character designer delayed a bit so I couldn’t really put everything together until just recently. Nevertheless, the comments on the post forCow 2.0
interest from purely riding on the coat tail of John Chow. I am not one to judge, nor am I one to criticize… the marketing tactics of JohnCOW works and the blog has become a huge success. Just four days ago, Sept. 21st, JohnCOW published an articleannouncing their their new design. In the article, the author shares some personal thoughts about the redesign. They were more than away of the fact that just a few weeks prior, the famous John Chow had redesigned his blog. The personal debate was simple: Should JohnCOW continue with

if you REALLY stick to it, kinda like John Chow or at least 10% of what he makes … which is a lot! 3-) Boy oh Boy, I thought our new professional looking theme was good but the COWS have hit the jackpot with theirs! : Just like your content, your site needs to be fresh. Just changing the header image or launching a new theme, or just shuffling your ad placements will do the trick most times. Many times it is an excuse to make thatposton your site.
s fast, not too expensive and he has a lot of talent. We’ve been using George’s logo for a while now and decided that we wanted a new look. We wanted the same character, but something with a “Web 2.0? look to it. I had seenJohn Cow’snew logo that he had done last year and Tyler Cruz’s – both which were done by SOSFactory.com, and decided to see what they could come up with. A few hundred dollars later and Sergio sent me this first draft:
Looks great!
Nice one Mr Moo
The new design looks amazing, I love the new logo and the general look of the site very slick
Looks awesome, haha you even have a cow pagani zonda nice.
Very Nice. Glad to see your up and running!
Darin
Now this is what I call a good design. Everything is perfect and I like the pictures and the header.
very slick, i wish my banner would have been accepted.
Best blog redesign I have seen of any of the recent ones…
well done.
one issue spotted – when you click on any of the names on the live milkers div, you get a 404 error, but besides that, as i said above, well done…
also just spotted below the Submit Comment button the checkbox with no detail as to what it is, i presume its subscribe to comments but no harm in putting that there.
Hope this loading time was just a one time deal. Seemed to load quite a while.
Very interesting theme though, very unique.
New Theme looks great.
Sorry for double but I just noticed REPLY is not an option to other comments.
The fonts for the sidebar look strange to me.
PropertyIreland, I agree. I love the little car picture on the comments box as well.
Also, did you know you have two posts in Uncategorized?
Oh, and what’s the check box below Submit Comment?
Very cool. I REALLY like the “Live Milkers” feature. Very Web 2.0.
Sly, yeah the car looks cool, maybe should be called the moocar???
a few other issues as others mentioned above, site could be optimised a lot better for speed increases, a few font tweaks and still some javascript errors showing, but i’m sure only teething problems to be expected, all will be well and still looking super cool soon…
Let me just say that this design rocks. Very well done. Couple of nit picky comments though:
1. You’ve misspelled John Chow’s name (Joh Chow). Maybe that’s on purpose though.
2. I agree that the fonts in the sidebar look a little off. Maybe change it to be the same as the “buy me milk” text or at least increase the spacing between lines.
3. The car in the comment box makes it slightly hard to see what you are typing. It’s a nice touch, but maybe take the opacity down a bit.
4. I am assuming that the check box below the submit button is for new comment notifications. The reason I am assuming is because I don’t see any text next to it.
Like I said, these are nit picky things. I love the new design and I’ll admit, I’m a little jealous.
[...] a new theme in place. I was expecting him to copy John Chow’s new theme but he didn’t. The new Cow 2.0 theme is a one of a kind theme for a pimped up [...]
very cool design, really amazing
But where is the reply to comment? you remove it on purpose?
Talk about picky..no offense Joe but your site is a little “average”
I for one LOVE IT and I can view in IE…..YEEEHAAW!!
The header is awesome:)
Thanks to everyone for their comments. Most of the issues addressed have been looked over by me as they were posted.
Regarding the sidebar font size, sometimes bigger is better. But all suggestions will be taken into consideration.
As always, there will be a few bugs till it nears perfection.
I love the new design of the Moo..BlOG.
It’s.. Beautiful!
Amazing work from SOSFactory, as per usual.
haha, this is the best design I ever seen looooooooooooool
Holy cow there’s a lot of comments today ^_^
New themes seem to always draw more commentators =]
Great work!
One of the best designs I have ever seen!
I actually like this – very cute
Great job!
So cute. I love cows and its perfect fit for you moooers. :c)
Wow, I’m actually speechless. I just love everything about it. The colors, the header, and then when I scrolled down to make a comment….I love what you did with the bottom of the page. Very nice. You definitely found a great person to give you a re-design. Job well done on all parts!
I bet you’re exhausted.
No more cows and only cow skins?
Nevertheless, this is a great theme, expected!
whooaaaa.. cool header graphics design. way coolll. Overall, the theme rocks.
Congrates on your new theme. Did a review of this site with some comments for certain improvements. if you so incline, do check it out at
http://www.jerrykhoo.com/john-cows-new-look/
Great look overall.
I like the blog layout. I like your content. I like the ads…they made me click.
But I hate to say it, I don’t really care for the cartoon thing. I thought the cows were way more cool….kinda like sophisticated silliness and cool design.
The cartoon to me just says bumpkin to me which doesn’t seem to fit with your great content. So I realize you must have worked hard on this, but I wanted to give you honest feedback.
The cartoon is well done. I just don’t think it’s right for your blog.
Very nice theme design!!
looks great cow, looks great
Cow 2.0 | John Cow dot Com
John Cow’s new website theme called Cow2.0.
I miss the old cows
Awesome job, I love it!
Nice. Has some very cool and original features. Considering you pretty much used the tagline I suggested I get $50, right?
Wow bro, best blog redesign to date! awesome job
I like the logo, looks cool
Great design! Congrats!
Try changing the pot font to something bigger. Looks good otherwise.
Now this is what I call a theme re-design!
Awesome is one word that best describes it. So far, this is the best theme makeover that I’ve come across, I’m sure this is will be very difficult to beat. Looks very Web 2.0 and very pleasing.
Just a few things:

1. The font on the sidebar looks fine to me, maybe you’ve already fixed it?
2. The car in this comment box could be moved further down so as to fit in the corner – looks rather abandoned now
3. The checkbox below the Submit Comment button still looks lonely without the text.
4. When we highlight text in the comment as we type, it just turns into a milder colour, doesn’t really give us the feeling that it is highlighted.
5. The text input to enter our email for subscribing looks more like a button to me, maybe you could tone the opacity down a bit?
They’re just my personal opinion though!
Again, the theme looks amazing!
Love the new cow theme, a Moo-ve in the right direction! The cows as cars and the RSS style also love it! Keep up the great work here, you have a very enjoyable and creative blog..ok no more ass kissing
Good stuff. My thoughts:
Do you really need two navigation bars?
The background color is a little drab.
Do you really drive a car like that?
Lookin’ good. My only dislikes are purly a matter of opinion, colors and such, so I’ll keep that to myself. I wish I could afford to hire Hyder to redo my site.
I miss the old cows too.
Oh, just wanted to add.
A lot of your comments don’t make any sense now without the threaded comments. There’s no way to know who you’re talking to on the old posts.
wow this is cool!
I love the new design. This has got to be the best looking blog online
I think the comment section needs to be threaded like the old theme and make the alternating color darker, hard to see the difference between the white and off white. Also maybe just put the 6 square ads in the sidebar without having the extra box around them. I think it would look smoother. Just some suggestions.
Very very unique and awesome design! Love the new cartoon header!
now.. it is more different than other j.c.
hope this blog will give moore interesting writing…
I like your cartoon.. what’s his name??? don’t want to do some contest???
Hey, just bought you some milk! Great job you are doing on your site.
I like it more than shoe’s and the big beef himself. ! well done..moooooooooooo.
The new theme is cowtastic!
Really, it looks great. Especially the header.
Wait a minute!! Where’s the threaded comment plugin?
Not compatible?
I like it, it’s more in the moo style
I saw the theme on Hyder’s blog and i said WOW!
I also like this blog does not resemble JohnChows one so much, but i’m wondering what happend to the cows in the header
would like to congratulate the cows about their new design is a cool design.
The blue cow will look betterin orange like rss logo.
OMG! Your new theme is just soooo sleeek. I just fell in love with it
Man, I’m going to order a from weborithim too…
Can you tell how much it cost??
Ruchir, just head on over to http://www.weborithm.com and get in touch with me. Thanks.
Looks fantastic! great work!
Amazing design. I simply love it.
Great design, and i LOVE the header and the sarcasm
well done
The picture from the header is awesome!
this design is clean, very nice, outdone chow himself on this one.

The design is nice, but your site was slow before… now it’s just crawling! Time to get a faster server.
[...] Your page is on StumbleUpon [...]
Very impressive, Mr. Cow.
Wow, Looks great!!
As I said before – it’s really great job, your new theme looks fantastic, love it for sure! I believe it cost you a lot of money.. but then again – it truly worths it
Nice theme, I suppose that’s getting a little boring by now though
Heads up! Your subscription box could do with a little makeover. You know this web 2.0 AJAX trick that auto-clears a subscription form when clicked saving the user from having to clear an input box manually. I had to do just that i.e manually clear the “Subscribe” message manually to subscribe. I use Firefox 2.0.
great looking new design!
Hello John Cow, very pleased to work for you
. Nice to see the theme online, at the end I think the header looks very good.
I think the whole theme looks great, I just would change the green background to white and I would delete the red border in the box. You would save lot of space in margings.
Cheers.
Sergio
Cool design. Green is a color that I like very much. Good work.
BTW, did you remove Brian’s Threaded Comments plugin? It was really useful.
As everyone has already said it looks great. Man, what a good time to be a (good) designer…I am sure there are plenty of really hungry bloggers who all want some new designs like all the big boys are getting lol.
Designers (or rich bloggers) consider sponsoring a contest with an awesome blog redesign as the prize
. I know I would love to win that and sure most others would as well!
I love the new design, usually I have some little critique but not this time its perfect and will definently make you some nice cash.
Very nice. =)
..and wouldn’t it be the hottest design known to cow?
Everyone loves a winner.
Now I’m wondering how much of that $749 for a new blog design Mr. Cow paid for.
Maybe this is Mr. Cow’s new venture, made his own design and now using this as a tool to start up his own design place….
anyone with thoughts? (maybe i’m way off LoL)
Two things I like very much with the new design is the resizing menu at top and the Live milker plugin.
Very slick design. I especially like the header!
