Jason,

From the whole post I think I liked the second last para...

"Above all, keep in mind that your blog is supposed to be about you and your business. Don’t try to be something that you’re not – a big part about being a Trusted Expert is the fact that you are authentic."

This is really very true and it does makes the difference.

Thanks Jason....

I really like this post. I try to follow these guidelines with every (especially) blog I create. I think I'm going to change my tag line though. I need to settle on one main topic and create other blog posts that support that main topic. Again great post and it hammered home I need to continue to follow these guidelines. Oh and welcome back. I was beginning to worry about you. :)

To keep people from being too caught up in making those choices, I suggest they get their name first. Start a blog on a domain with their name in it. It lets them start learning with no pressure. Just stuff. Once they find out how easy it is to get started, they have the biggest hurdle out of the way.

Too many people think it is complex and difficult and simply never start. As Mike Litman says The first 15 yards are the hardest.

Get started. Get moving. Claim your stake in the internet :)
