Behind the Scenes of a Madd Cow – Crazy I Tell You

Over the past few months I have been getting more and more emails requesting interviews and one of the questions that keep popping up in these interviews is about what it is like behind the scenes of the JohnCow homestead.
Well one of the things that I think make us different is the maturity level and serious nature that our office environment has. The problem is I would need pages and pages of material to cover the complex management style that I have incorporated into my office system and for some… well it would be just too boring to read.
So I figured we would make a video and show you what a professional office environment is ran like.

Yes I really do have employees, I have a lot of other businesses online… thought that was pretty clear around here

Where did you get the cow suit from?
I don’t have a mascot for my entrepreneurs blog…but I have good content.
Maybe I will need a mascot soon??

Oh John Cow,
I want to be honest with you and I am not trying to be mean because I really like your site. But I don’t like your videos.
I think they are useless and the jokes in them are lame…sorry harsh I know. But I bet some readers feel the same. Great content on the blog but I don’t feel like the videos match up with the content…why is this?
No offense… we can make everyone happy.
I will be writing a post about this but I will try and explain it to you from our point of view.
1. We want you to get to know us and the people behind JC which build relationships and community.
2. All work and no play can be boring and we want to mix it up a bit.
3. Video marketing is powerful and we are not interested in just doing what everyone else does. If you want to get noticed, you need to stand apart from the crowd and try different things. For the most part we get good feedback from this and so we will continue and follow this path but we will modify it to make it better. We are also going to start adding in
actual training into the videos.. so it will be a mixture of serious and funny.
4. The employees in the office love it as it breaks up the week and we have fun doing it (good for employee relationship)
Hey what are you saying is really truth, specially the point number 3. I think you need to try many different things before discovering what work for you.

lol… sorry to hear that Chris, with every other post you seem to have commented that you like the direction the blog has.
Just to set the record straight however.. the alexa is absolute bullcrap. This site gets twice the traffic it used to.. just look at the alexa of all the top bloggers and you will see they are tanking, in fact I think it is time I did a post about that.
However, you are entitled to you opinions… but that does not mean you are right
Pay no mind to Alexa.. I read a while back that they changed their algorithm and are now more useless than they’ve ever been as a web performance metric.
In fact, They’re now as useless as Google page rank is fast on the way to becoming. Don’t count Alexa, Count unique hits and total page views.

I liked the video. You can tell that they are not professional actors (well, maybe Audrey, she did a great job. Is she an actress?) but that’s not the point.
