Be Controversial, But Not TOO Controversial

This post is part of the guest blogger experiment.

Who doesn’t want to become famous? Which amateur would go around telling you that, “Hey! I hate publicity, please don’t make me famous… Please…“. Face it people, this world is realistic, we want attention, I won’t deny that for myself! That’s how I ended up making a post though I’m already having a little blog – GoodBoyGoneBad.com , I want people to notice me!

Fame is like this, once you get a taste of it, you would never wanna let go, it’s like a drug that gets you addicted and you just wanna ask for more! Well yeah of course if you deserve fame, for instance you’re an extremely creative person and people just love visiting your blog like Johncow.com , those who attempt to bring you down are jealous people, they can’t be like you thus they bitch about you – Human nature.

Apart from getting famous through being too noble and creative and yada-yada, all the good stuffs. You might hear about becoming famous by being controversial.

[Hold on, before I continue, let me browse my e-dict to make sure if being controversial makes you a famous or notorious person... Oh! Got it! "Famous" is still the right word to use IF you are being controversial.]

If everyone is talking and supporting about this particular topic, sooner or later this discussion becomes dull and people just forget about who started this topic… BUT if someone stands up and say, “Now I hate that (fill in the blanks), what’s wrong with you people who showed your support to this crap? (Then you present your points).”, trust me people, you are going to get attention from a lot of people who are willing to gun you down, but so what? If you put forward constructive points, they will shut up eventually.

Having said that, some people chose to devastate their future by being TOO controversial, they make the nastiest remarks about people’s religions, they make fun of powerful people, why? Because they are just like us, they want attention but little did they know that they just walked to the path of doom!

Being tOO controversial is not cOOl and you won’t get the MOO, all you get are the BOOs and shOOs, why end up being like this? You’re supposed to be famous on the right track but you see, if you’re too famous, what people want to see is how you fall, it’s like this, when a famous person makes mistake, the whole world points finger at you. How about you who started out doing the wrong things?

This is definitely applicable to every blogger, when you are allowed to express yourself, try not to go overboard because at the end of the day, what will you get when people turn against you? You could only enjoy a short period of “fame”. If you’re always on the right track and talented, not just people will come to you, you get people to click on your adsense, you could invite advertisers… Maintain your reputation!

This is contributed by a Good Boy Gone Bad, wonder if he is TOO controversial? Unfortunately I don’t fancy being famous through the backdoor. It’s just a NAME for people to remember! I swear if this post is approved I’m going to drink milk everyday! :P

You have a peculiar way of writing. I feel worn out now.

Please provide one single example where people have “turned against” a blog or where a controversial post hurt a blogger’s reputation to the point where it *decreased* their traffic.

    Can you do it?

    Because if you can’t…..

I also disagree that everyone, even amateurs, all want really want fame. While many want it, there are some that don’t.

Mr Cow, how many guest posts we got left?

Did you know that there is a company who makes a type of milk product out of chickens? It’s not chicken milk, as such, but i guess it’s like soy milk.
