Are You Cow Enough?

Written by John Cow on August 11th, 2007

Hello future A-listers!

This week we would like to experiment a little bit with our blog and see what our audience is capable of. Do you think you’ve got what it takes to write for JohnCow dot Com? Here’s what we’re offering:

Anyone who thinks they’re cow enough can register on our blog. You can then start to write an article which will automatically get saved in the draft section. Once you’re finished and you think that you’re ready to go, drop us an email with the header “Publish Me!”. We’ll then have a look at your article and publish it if we think it’s suitable. Don’t ask us what to write about, surprise us with your creativity!
To make things a little more interesting, we’re also going to add an option for the public to vote on everyone that wrote at the end of the week. Whoever gets the most votes will be offered to write a weekly post so they can reap the benefits of high exposure.

Why should you bother writing for us?

A-List BloggerWe’ll we’re quite the popular bovine blog at the moment and we’re attracting nearly 4000 readers per day and we’re ranking in the Technorati top 6k. You’re allowed to linkback to your own blog(s) so you can get a nice share of traffic going your way. This is a great way to get discovered by a large amount of new readers! Besides that, who wouldn’t want to blog on JohnCow dot Com?! If for anything, we’d like you to write for fun!

What we ask is just you giving it your best shot! Who’s up for the challenge?

  1. links from Technoratirecollection of what I’ve read, but I thought I might post one of these every once in a while. Maybe every two weeks, or so. The idea is to show some of the great posts I’ve found by other blog writers, so you can also find them. 1. JohnCow.com has a new system

  2. links from TechnoratiI recommend you give the site a read. It has been up for just over a month and is averaging 4000+ page views per day. (With a little help from 2, count ‘em, 2 Digg.com front page articles). Moo knows… I might even try and write for them. • Cash Quests says:

Yeah. A lot of bloggers are doing these type of posts and I kind of see them as “hey I’m too lazy to write here much so anyone want to do it for me?”

Not really a bad thing but personally I’m *only* interested in John Cow himself. He rocks my dairy!

That’s a great idea writing for the cow blog but there may be a snag if you were to get the most votes. Is it compulsory for the winner to write every week? As it is, most bloggers are hard pressed to post something on their own blogs. Is there an alternative proposal?
