Agloco? Told You So!

John Chow has emailed the Agloco crew after he noticed that their SSL certificate was not renewed anymore. Guess what? Agloco’s development team has replied and it seems they have admitted defeat. Agloco is dead!

Dear John,

We would like to update you on the status of AGLOCO’s operations. We continue to believe in the AGLOCO concept, but our revenue is currently not sufficient to give Members a meaningful distribution. And though there are increases in membership, the resulting revenue is not enough to support operating costs. As a development team we are unable to continue to use our savings to fund the operations. If any Member would like to pursue continuing the operations of AGLOCO, you may contact us at agloco1@live.com.

We would like to thank every Member for supporting our effort to bring a piece of the Internet directly to the user. We hope that we can find a way to keep the operations going.

AGLOCO Development Team

So why is the site still active and why can people still sign up? A puzzle that MR Chow has probably answered in that very same post - Agloco might still be building a mailinglist! What better way to utilize a top 3,000 Alexa site where you require people to sign up? As doubtful as we were about the whole system, seeing that their first attempt ‘AllAdvantage‘ failed miserably too, we hate to do it now, but; TOLD YOU SO!

agloco.jpg

What makes us even more biased is the fact that the site still seems to be operational, as if nothing ever happened. Is this just one big email address harvesting operation? We bet the list Agloco has managed to generate hold millions of valid email addresses and this is worth gold in the right hands! Its times like these where we miss Kumiko’s anti-Agloco posts…sigh.

If you’re all a bit disappointed in Agloco’s performance, we’ve come to find that DealDotCom, we’re sure you guys remember them, have proven to be a steady money maker, and depending on how you embed them on your site, you can make a nice bit of spare change from them. You’ll notice how we use the very end of our comments section with the ‘deal of the day’ image. If you’re looking to get images like that, Jason has made a special page available for that purpose, have a look at their screenshot page.

(PS Today is the last day to enter Neil Duckett’s free digital camera contest, better hurry up if you haven’t signed up yet!)

I never liked the idea of Agloco and figured this would happen sooner or later. Horrible that so many people signed up and put time into promoting it though.

Only those that didn’t actually sing up for that sham can say “I told you so” lol ;). And yeah, I TOLD YOU SO! Sucks a lot of people wasted time on it but wonder how many actually spent money trying to promote it to gain downlines. Sad but seems to be happening more and more with these hype machines.

If the big boys took more time to analyze things rather than just worry about building their downline there might not be as much hype for crap like that. But then again, maybe they wouldn’t be “big boys” without riding and pushing the hype waves. And then again, they won’t be the ones that get blamed for it lol

with so much hype surrounding it, i too almost fell into the agloco scam…then after reading the limitations, i gave up fast.

I’m glad to see it dead. Maybe next time bloggers won’t be so quick to jump on the bandwagon.

This is no surprise to me whatsoever. I uninstalled the Agloco toolbar months ago as I knew this would happen.

I’m glad i never joined them…it just goes to show, I was right about how it was flawed and how they were going to fail especially when they never had anything ready and when they finally did, it was already too late.

Shame…so many clones are launching

The toolbar wasn’t exactly cool. It was rather odd. I think that was one reason it wasn’t installed on so many computers.

The sad thing is some of us were actually around and online when alladvantage was all the craze and when it crashed too. Though at least that version actually launched. Although it sucks for most involved I do have to wonder how much the bastid behind alladvantage/agloco ended up taking home from the bogus programs.

Anyone doing their homework on Agloco should have seen it was doomed from day one.It was a joy to see someone like John Chow that flaunts his internet genius fall for such a scam.

IMO whenever i see something that is claim to be going big but i don’t know who is the real people behind it until now just like any other program like HYIP, paid survey or GPT programs they are are more likely 99% chance have their own agenda. free advertising is their main target to stardom from nothing. i bet they earn a lot on this venture.

Agloco its really a scam, I promoted their toolbar first & all, I also used the toolbar but it makes me slow the net connection , then i removed that toolbar, I also stopped promoting that day itself , now they are runaway with that crappy toolbar

Wonder how much their mailing list will go for. Though odds are they have already sold it and that may have been the plan all along lol.

I’m not a little disappointed I am a LOT  well I had 50 referrals for nothing and I am sorry that I recommended agloco to my referrals but I learned to not promote a program that is not paying you from the first month
