What’s going on people?! Have any of you noticed the sneaky AdSense ads that have been blatantly displayed on JohnCow dot Com lately? It seems some naughty are slamming us with an AdSense Ads Attack!

First one to start doing this was Mr. Vaughan, then Kumiko was featured briefly (no screenshot unfortunately but it was something about eating our beef  ) and now Miss Becky from PreBlogging.com is spreading all sorts of evil lies! We don’t have a calf and we deny any involvement in these cheap tricks they’re using to get some attention!

Here’s some proof of the vandals work just in case you had not seen them plastered all over our beautiful blog yet!

Did you get any visits from those ads? I remember someone putting an ad like this in DigitalPoint. He later lamented that a large number of people clicked on the ad and he lost a lot of money :).

The adword “John Cow” likely only costs a penny or so right now. That will change as this site continues to grow.

It is not the keyword that costs. It is putting your ads in a high traffic site like this, that leads to the increased rate.

LOL first it was John Chow’s name used in adwords ads. It isn’t surprising and should have been expected that the Cow would follow the same path, whether you wanted to happen or not

I do when I am at home. But at work, I have no choice, they only use IE6 and all installation is disabled by admin. It doesn’t matter, I gave my notice so I won’t be there for long anyway

Hi jeba, I added the link to your source now, i found it via this search term.

The AdWords thing was a bit of fun while it lasted. I tried to have an image ad but that didn’t seem to come through.

I don’t like ads too much but maybe its a good thing not so many people, but then again that means you don’t make as much money either. It’s kind of a double edged sword
