If you’re using a design-enhanced HTML editor like Macromedia Dreamweaver or Microsoft FrontPage (often referred to as WYSIWYG or “what you see is what you get” software), then you may notice errors if you paste the AdSense ad code into a WYSIWYG view such as the “Design” or “Layout” view. For the ads to function properly, you’ll need to copy and paste the ad code into the HTML source code of your webpage using the editor’s HTML view or HTML insert function.

Yeah. I use html view in placing google ads in wordpress
I have noticed at YouTube, oftentimes that after I upload a new video, the ads sometimes do not show up for a day or even longer.
Is this normal? If not, what might I be doing wrong? (I just started with Google Adsense this past week so please forgive me if this is a repeated issue that has been brought up.) It just seems like sometimes the ads are there and sometimes they are not and I don’t know what, if anything, I am doing differently.

Carol,
they don’t show up until the adsense bot crawls the content so Google knows what ads to show. On a YouTube video, there pretty much is no content besides some tags, thus making things a little slower sometimes.
if you are posting the vids on a blog, try adding about 150 words of supporting content utilizing keywords that support the video.

I’ve noticed the an increase on about 20% of the sites in my portfolio. Moving towards very tight niches from last years blogging only grouping. After PayPerPost ruined the PR of bloggers we saw a huge jumping of ship in that arena, except for the crap blogs.
Yet another reason not to use a WYSIWYG html client like frontpage or dreamweaver
Think so? Read between the lines. I don’t think that is an indictment on wysiwyg html clients. Is simply knowing how to use them.
I believe if you must these tools you need to know a little about html in that way you’ll be able to ‘go into’ the html code and do some editing when needed. WYSIWYG tools a great and time saving.
Thanks for the info…that works on my domain. But what about at YouTube….does anyone know if it is a youtube problem or my problem.
I checked and checked and the three videos that I last uploaded as part ot the Adsense program have definitely been enabled for ads..yet these three and not the other 42 at the moment don’t have ads…
Any ideas …does anyone know a live person I can contact at either google or youtube about this sort of issue. I cannot find a contact anywhere, they are extremely well hidden.

Does this apply to sites made with xsite pro? I don’t know anything about html and php or watever the stuff is they talk about here.
I just use the tools supplied and stick the adds wherever there is room.

I like to find cool or strange news videos or something in Technological advancement, environment, ect as long as I think it is genuinely interesting or fun. Then once is awhile, I might post that I have posted a new post to my blog or a Squidoo Lens.
Ah, I was hoping that this was about why AdSense sometimes shows PSAs on a website instead of actual ads. They’ve started doing this to me on a few sites and I can’t figure out why. The sites used to show ads and then one day it was all PSAs.
I’v found a really Odd catch as if why Adsense adds are sometimes not showing on ones blog/website.
What I’v noticed is some what of a pattern,A website that is not Indexed by Google has sometimes issues with Adsense codes.
This is relative,but I think there is a patter in this.
I have encountered similiar problem , adsense does not show up in my site content youtube video. After googled it out , it is recommended to put some text around 200-300 words in order to get relevant adsense show up

I find using Wordpress is tough switching between Editor and HTML view. Every time I do this, the html get’s messed up. This has forced me to learn html more..lol.

XsitePro 2 blew up my computer and destroyed my hard drive !!! I had to reformat my entire hard drive. And, if you try to switch templates in XsitePro 2, it will blow up your website that you may have worked on for several days. All the work is G O N E !!! I now am using Frontpage and Dreamwweaver so that I can breath succesfully. Yes, I spend a few more strokes, but IT WORKS, IT WORKS, IT ALWAYS WORKS !!!! ITS WORKS GREAT !!!

It’s happening the same to me right now. I’m not quite sure what to do.
I stopped using wysiwyg editors as soon as I saw how complicated they made things.
I would rather hack around until I get it right.
