A Billion BlogRush Credits!

Well not quite a billion yet, but it looks like we’re getting there. We don’t check our blogrush stats that often but we just had a look and were wondering if the amount of credits we got from Mr Reese’s traffic generating project is more than average. The current stats are nearing 7 million(!) credits, which we think is quite amazing. So how many credits have you boys and girls got? And who is actually noticing an increase in traffic?

Speaking of traffic, The University Kid promised us to become a vegetarian if we’d put up a good prize for his latest contest. Click over there if you want to win a (cool) free ad with us for a month, or any of the other (less cool) goodies with a total value of $2,000

  2. Thanks for the plug, and of course the very generous ad spot mate!

  3. Matt Jones says:

I guess this is what happens when a cow rides the big beef.

  4. I’ve only gotten a few hits from Blogrush traffic. Then again, I just launched this new site and I have 0 referrals, so we’ll see how well it works.

  5. Artur Kim says:

BlogRush didn’t work too well for me. So, I took the widget off WPTG.

  6. Allyn Paul says:

I guess I should log into my blogrush and see what they haven’t done for me lately.

  7. Wayne Liew says:

BlogRush just got me out of their system because I am not placing any of their widgets on my blog.

It’s good to see you have a wonderful time with them. I guess the name of John Cow will reach many people since I have seen the headlines in BlogRush widgets somewhere else.

  8. Frank C says:

BlogRush works well if you’re a high traffic blog or a “Made For Affiliate Offer” blog but if you aren’t it’s an ugly waste of space on your blog or else you won’t meet their “strict quality standards”.

Funny how you’re singing their praises now that they let you back in the club.

  9. shy guy says:

I don’t check the stats of blogrush and just remove it…

    Not useful for my blog..

  10. Forest Parks says:

My credit balance is on 0 for some reason. It says I am getting daily traffic but I am not sure if I really am.

  11. Randy Brown says:

I’ve got about 30,000 credits.. I took the widget off a month or so ago, but then put it back after the big 2.0 release – you know, when they removed all those “trashy” blogs

i have noticed that so far the post that has brought the most traffic via blogrush was my Earnings for October post.. it brought in nearly 30x more traffic than any of my other posts.. i guess this means that a lot of blogrushers are interested in reading about making money online..

  12. James Wilcox says:

I removed blogrush from my blog because the widget is ugly and the traffic results were negligible at best. Plus, I couldn’t exactly figure out what the hell all the credits are for anyway.

  13. Blog rush is starting to get a tad old…I wonder if it will end up being a fad that will fade away into the sunset

  14. 2xKnight says:

Mine are nowhere near that.

  15. John Cow says:

FrankC: We wouldn’t exactly call this post “singing their praises”. We never said we didn’t like blogrush, we got banned and unbanned. That did not change our thoughts on the product.

  16. jerrykhoo says:

Took Blogrush off after only a few days. wasn’t doing me any good.

  17. James says:

BlogRush is shit, but I still have it on my blog, but it’s really shit, I’ve got something like 0 or 1 visit (I write 1 just in case I missed one) ever since I’ve put it on.

  18. Gilberticus says:

That’s easily explained James. You’re an arsehole and nobody likes you.

  19. Eric says:

ditto, who reads blogs anyways!

  20. Deborah Dera says:

Heheh. I have 98 credits. Your number makes me look like dust!

  21. James says:

Gilberticus you are the shit which comes out of me then.

  22. Allyn Paul says:

I checked mine yesterday after reading this post and I have 3 referrals and like 900 credits. Some of my posts were sindicated almost 1500 times, and no clicks!

I have some damn good headlines too.

    “Your Wife and Your Lawn”

“Thou shalt not covet thy neigbor’s lawn”

That’s gotta make someone click no?

Maybe people just don’t give a crap about lawn care when it’s 31 degrees outside eh?

  23. BlogRush is largely a waste of space. Sorry. I placed mine twice, and removed it twice. I don’t need another excuse for visitors to leave my blog, I’ve already got enough external links on a page.

    Kenneth

  24. i need more time. i need to get on the blog rush bandwagon before it sets sail.

  25. So, how now John Cow?

What is your simple opinion of Blogrush?

Is it worth it for the average guy or does it only pay off after you hit the big time?

    Not John Chow

  26. those are some serious credits. My CTR rates are pretty poor with BlogRush. Maybe they might pick up

  27. PinoyTech says:

I don’t believe blogrush will ever pay up for the credits. It was doomed from the start.

  28. Tech Narf says:

I’ve been pending quality review for my new website for more than a week on blogrush :???:

  29. Indra Diky says:

i have removed the widget from my blogs
