1st iPod Winner - Don’t Shoot The Messenger!

Boy did we have to think twice before we decided to post this one. As if we didn’t get enough shit from some people about the Million Euro Wiki project, we’re probably bound to unleash a truckload of more poo with the following announcement.

As you know, for every 25 pages sold on MEW, we’re giving a away a brand new 16 GB Apple iPod Touch to a random page owner. Because this was the first batch of 25, chances were pretty good. 1 in 25 (d’oh). What we did was scroll the mouse pointer over the sold pages with our eyes closed and stopped it somewhere. Guess who’s name it was pointing at? Mr John Chow!

Yes we know. It sounds fake, rigged and more of that, but it’s true. Like we said, we really had to think twice about this one because we can guess how some people will react. Sure, we could have picked again and see if we’d end up with someone else’s name, but that just wouldn’t be fair. So that’s the bad news.

Now for the good news, the Big Beef seems to have claimed in his MEW post that he’d give away the iPod in case he’d win and we’re going to make him keep that promise! You’ll probably see a contest to win it on his blog soon. But wait, there’s more –we’re going to have the iPod engraved before we send it to Chow and we’re open to suggestions as to what to engrave on it

So sorry for those who didn’t win it in this first round but remember that every page owner will have a shot at winning an ipod with every 25 pages we sell!

(p.s. sorry for the confusion for those of you who tried to post a reply. Seems we forgot to close the < a > tags on the DealDotCom image underneath the last post. It’s been fixed now. Thanks to Browie for letting us know!)

ok. Now I am beginning to suspect that John Cow and John Chow are exactly the same individual. In one of his posts John Chow claimed that he was going to start a blog from 0, proving everybody that he could make more than U$S 1000 a month, without taking advantage of any contacts he may have….. , if John Chow is the same guy that John Cow, then John Chow is a genius.

I was hoping to win this to replace my iPod photo…and subsequently give that one away on my blog. Good thing I still have more chances to win. Question: Can the same person win more than once?
